And a 3-0 count one of the dumber decisions youve seen in an lsu baseball game? Up there with long beach pitching to todd walker

I thought the same and I was telling myself that CPM should give him a green light 3-0 cause it may be the best pitch he’d see that at bat if it isn’t a ball

Midweek game
Not like it matters

Nah i know. Similar to that long beach cws game; not important

yes. the Nicholas coach made some dumb pitching changes tonight. I know they have a conference series this week end but they have let some of those guys that were dealing go 2 innings. and then they end up in the ninth with only a guy with virtually no experience this year. that lose was on him.

After Dups took second, Cabrera had a 2-0 count. I would have intentionally walked him then.

Nicholls has beaten us many times in the midweek because they use like 5 or 6 pitchers to keep LSU from getting in a rhythm. It's just what they do.
It almost worked again tonight.

9 years in, their head coach is a .500 coach. Decisions like some of the ones he made tonight show you why

Yep pretty dumb decision to keep on pitching to him.

Welll, the LBSU pitcher was a lefty, and left handed batters hit about .150 against him. And the guy behind Walker was a right handed All-American who held the single season LSU batting record for about 20 years.
(But I agree it was probably a bad decision to pitch to Walker )

the count on Cabrera was 3-2

Cabrera hit it into the corner but when he hit it I thought it was gone.

I guess his reasoning was a runner on third brings into play a balk, pass ball, and a sac fly wins the game for the tigers. You had to figure that Cabrera was going to put the ball in play. You hope for a fly out, double play, or keep it to a single to load the bases. Thats baseball.

What? No one was on 3rd. 1st base was open

my bad I thought they had just intentionally walked smith. Must have my scenarios mixed up. I was thinking it was runners on first and second at the time

They walked Smith the inning before after Reid double to face Watson
