Harrell's, one of the industry leaders in agronomics has decided to take all glyphosate products out of production.
Won't be long until others follow suit.
Stock up.

Sounds like a bunch of BS to me...glyphosate is the basis for most of the world's food chain at this point...until a better alternative is developed, I don't think it is going anywhere.

This wouldn't be the first, nor will it be the last, time an industry standard for control has been taken off the market. For whatever reasons.
I'm not arguing against the efficacy of glyphosate, I'm just passing the word.

Harrells - No More Glyphosate Sales
Insurance provider is trying to ream them. Won't be long until others feel the pain as well.
But, continue on being ign'ant.

Nice try, Mr. Round-Up salesman.

frick that. Glyphosate is cheap.
I'd much rather sell fungicides, nematicides or PGRs.
I may stock up on 49% glyphosate A.I. products and sell that shite to residential people that are used to buying Home Depot quality 2% A.I.
I'd make a killing.

Soooo, you can get me a job crop consulting?

It is poisoning the planet. The FDA measures all food including processed food and everything is testing positive for high levels of glyphosate. It is a terrible poison.
There really is no choice because it isn't safe to use.

Honest question, why is it so bad for humans? I thought it was mostly safe but I may be very ignorant. Obviously anything like that we use in such mass amounts is not going to be good.

Harrell’s doesn’t produce glyphosate. They repackage and remix. Nothing more than a distributor.
RoundUp ready soybeans are being sold globally. It’s being manufactured globally and it’s not going anywhere.

Right.

A lot of people said that about DDT.
I like glyphosate, I want it to stick around. EPA fights their battles pretty well.

A quick wiki search reveals that almost all scientific organizations have determined it’s not really that harmful to humans...

Shiny hook is shiny.
Hope you think diesel is a safer alternative cause if you take my Roundup away I’m going to be spraying diesel everywhere I sprayed Roundup.
Your choice bunny-hugger.

It’s harmful if you chug it like a Dome Foam after a Brees touchdown pass.

The EPA has said as much
LINK
quote:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is releasing for public comment the draft human health and ecological risk assessments for glyphosate, one of the most widely used agricultural pesticides in the United States. The draft human health risk assessment concludes that glyphosate is not likely to be carcinogenic to humans. The Agency’s assessment found no other meaningful risks to human health when the product is used according to the pesticide label. The Agency’s scientific findings are consistent with the conclusions of science reviews by a number of other countries as well as the 2017 National Institute of Health Agricultural Health Survey.

Didn't they just lose a huge lawsuit surrounding round-up and cancer!

I'm not saying it is safe or not safe, or that the jury got it wrong, but I will say a courtroom is probably not the best place to figure that out when 12 humans are facing a terminally ill plaintiff and a corporation that in their view, can take the hit.

It damages human DNA among other things. It is terrible for fetal tissues. It poisons the entire food chain, also.
Here is a good starting point for the human health aspects:
LINK
quote:
While Monsanto insists that Roundup is as safe to humans as aspirin, Seneff and Samsel's research tells a different story altogether. Their report, published in the journal Entropy1, argues that glyphosate residues, found in most commonly consumed foods in the Western diet courtesy of GE sugar, corn, soy and wheat, "enhance the damaging effects of other food-borne chemical residues and toxins in the environment to disrupt normal body functions and induce disease."
Interestingly, your gut bacteria are a key component of glyphosate's mechanism of harm.
Monsanto has steadfastly claimed that Roundup is harmless to animals and humans because the mechanism of action it uses (which allows it to kill weeds), called the shikimate pathway, is absent in all animals. However, the shikimate pathway IS present in bacteria, and that's the key to understanding how it causes such widespread systemic harm in both humans and animals.
The bacteria in your body outnumber your cells by 10 to 1. For every cell in your body, you have 10 microbes of various kinds, and all of them have the shikimate pathway, so they will all respond to the presence of glyphosate!
Glyphosate causes extreme disruption of the microbe's function and lifecycle. What's worse, glyphosate preferentially affects beneficial bacteria, allowing pathogens to overgrow and take over. At that point, your body also has to contend with the toxins produced by the pathogens. Once the chronic inflammation sets in, you're well on your way toward chronic and potentially debilitating disease. In the interview above, Dr. Seneff reviews a variety of chronic diseases, explaining how glyphosate contributes to each condition. So to learn more, I urge you to listen to it in its entirety. It's quite eye-opening.
