The GOP has succeeded on immigration.
And Trump has let that happen despite it being exactly what he campaigned against.
He's the one who swallowed lies from Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell for two years and let Never Trumpers and GOPe snakes infiltrate his administration and let them undermine him in negotiations with Congress.
And it has to be pointed out no matter how much people hate it.
And the shitty thing is that I will vote for him again with no hesitation at all and with glee because democrats in 2019 and 2020 are much worse, way worse as their far left, communist selves represent the end of western civilization in America.

Either you're a patriot or not. He wavers and isn't worthy to be considered a MAGA baw.

Therein lies you're problem. He didn't bully me to vote. He doesn't bully, he says what needs to be said. Sorry you have sand in your vagina.

He's definitely holding his ground. I still cant get an answer as to what exactly Trump could have done or could be doing to yank the shite out of the leashes of rebel without a cause Repubs.

Also, I've been seeing reports that Jared Kushner has been pushing for more visas for foreign workers and more expansions in catch and release. That is not what Trump campaigned on.
I'm sure CNN is accurate on this

You mean like 'threaten to primary the cucks' or something else?
Posted on 3/16/19 at 10:56 pm to umop_apisdn
No, more like straightening them out while it's on the table or up for vote, getting them to fall in line with what Trump/we are trying accomplish on Trump's agenda.

Trump has tried but he has had to deal with the courts overturning his executive orders and of course Congressional Republicans doing nothing. If Congress would act he would not have to go the EO route and could avoid the courts. He just has to assume the Democrats will challenge every EO in the 9th circuit and be prepared for a long fight to get even the simplest things done.

Sort of sad that you’ve gotten 37 downvotes on what is essentially an objective observation of recent political history.

To make a comparison - Trump is the league's most valuable player at quarterback but his team is only good enough for a .500 record. That is not the MVP's fault.

I was surprised Trump didn't bash the 12 pro open border Republicans , who were against the emergency order when he vetoed their Liberal crap.
He had a perfect opportunity to totally bash the traitors.
He needs to stop signing spending bills
He's waiting until after the veto override vote.
He attacks those 12 now and their colleagues may come to their defense and give the Dems the votes they need.

Trump trusted them when they said if he signs the omnibus bill they will support border security and fully fund it.
Trump is used to business and not the pure politics of it. He should have known better. Like Reagan he has had to compromise with the GOPe. It is what it is. Name anyone else that could have survived this long.
The entire OP article is obsolete; as he signed an E.O. emergency that should make even Coulter happy. There is nothing more he can do when he is surrounded on all quarters.

It depends on how soon those 12 are up for reelection. Look at Tillis from N.C. He was going to vote with the 12 but the day before the vote, he changed his mind and voted with the majority of the Pubs in the senate. Why? He's up for reelection in 2020. He knows his base it appears.

Exactly. Except for Collins their reelections are four years off. The political philosophy of an incumbent - voters have a short memory. The 12 hope that remains true. We'll see.

Did you read the part about the types of people he has put into key positions?
It’s time to accept the possibility that Trump was more of the same but packaged in a way to take advantage of rising populist sentiment.
I am by no means sure of any of this, and still want to believe that not every single one of our politicians is working to give away the country, but where is the lie in the OP? We can’t stick our heads in the sand.

That’s only a good comparison if you think Trump is really doing everything he can. His recent embrace of full-blown legal immigration tells me he isn’t. His appointment of people not in favor of what he campaigned on tells me he isn’t.
Again, just read the OP. If you can’t provide specific responses to the criticisms, you’re just blowing smoke.

Disagree.
The political class in DC has done nothing for thirty plus years about illegal immigration but pay it lip service. After 9-11 I thought "if nothing can get done now about our porous borders and lack of draconian punishment for hiring illegals nothing ever will".
Do you really believe DJT would veto legislation to secure our borders, revamp punishments for hiring said illegals and once the numbers crossing come down begin to address a hard earned path to citizenship?
Do you believe Trump has not pushed and talked about the issue enough?
The POTUS does not write legislation nor can he pass it.
Where were/are the bills to sign?

Biggest example of that is Trump falling for McConnell and Ryan's lies that he would get his wall if he would just sign this bill or that bill or just wait after a specific election or just wait for the lame duck.
I dont like Ryan. But I will say this, it was that Congress that added the fences clause to the DoD counter drugs that allowed Trump to gain an extra 3.1 billion for the wall
