What the frick is in Lafayette that has it as the shiftiest air in the US? All the plants are in LC, by BR, and around NOLA.

There shouldn’t be anything in lafayette to affect the air quality that badly.

Being in between Lake Charles and BR would be the only reason I can think of

Hey gt,

Ive looked at that map during the winter and you will see 999 show up on the index of some Indian and Chinese cities, so I looked for a reference. Seems the scale was never believed to go to that level so they arent calibrated beyond that.

I was listening to people in Bombay talk about pollution and the problems. One guy said, its dangerous to drive, the smog is so thick, thats pretty bad, the equiv of smoking a couple of packs a day, wowsir.

And in the heart of the sugar cane industry. Those fires sux!

BTW - No High-Jack but I wish those farmers would grow more rice. Especially after I thought I read about DJT's Administration being able to sell rice to China.

That map someone posted of all the air quality of all the countries was great. The countries that signed up to the Paris Accords had far worse air quality than the US

Let's be honest: all they wanted was our money.

Trying to roll back protections
this is such a loaded statement. it's a rhetorical trick called hurling the elephant. if you wanted your claim to have validity, you would need to first enumerate all the specific "protections" and second, prove how those protections are curbing actions that irrefutably hurt the environment.

as for the rest of your post, it just doesn't make sense to nitpick the us when africa, india and asia off the charts violating all your standards you just listed.
