current global estimates are near ~51.9 gt per year. climate scientists are calling for that number to be limited globally to 42 gt by 2030.. a ~19% decrease.

Governments emphasizing (and deploying) solar and wind energy technologies, requiring more efficient appliances & passenger cars, afforestation and stopping deforestation could reach that goal without even bringing industrial emissions into the mix. but hey.. if you ask a republican it's marxist nonsense

it's a rhetorical trick called hurling the elephant. if you wanted your claim to have validity, you would need to first enumerate all the specific "protections" and second, prove how those protections are curbing actions that irrefutably hurt the environment.

And I have to do this every single time I make the point?

Enumerate every example and prove it irrefutably on the poliboard

About 1/3 of the northern hemisphere is too cold to have any significant growing season. A few degrees warmer would open up large growing areas. There is nothing that can be done to stop it. The earth has been several degrees warmer and several degrees colder. It is a cycle played out over hundreds of thousands of years.

When I was a kid in school in the 80’s, I had a teacher in environmental science that ranted and raved about the ozone layer and the impending ice age that would hit in my lifetime. Now the same god damned idiot environmentalists say the world is gonna be too hot. What the hell happened to the ice age and now we find out the ozone layer shite, which legislation acting upon cost jobs, was nothing.

Damn dude can’t you see you are being played for a fool? I have been there. I was young and worried about the ice age and supported legislation to stop the depletion of the ozone layer. Now I see how much I was duped when I was a kid. You are being duped too. In 30 years it will be too late but you will see that nothing will happen.

I'm personally not opposed to intentionally altering the climate to benefit the human race. I'm opposed to doing it on accident, though.

... you should read up on where the ozone recovery is. It's a great example of an ongoing success. We created a problem, fixed it, and the recovery is on track

this has been beaten to death. so much misinformation in this arena. the numbers have been massaged at least and downright manufactured at most.

again, so much of this wouldn't be "urgent" if india, africa and asia weren't such bad violators of environmental best practices

if you don't want to be a troll, yes. it's called substantiation and it's hard to take someone seriously who does not substantiate their points. also, it makes you look scared because you know your point is too weak to withstand debate

Enumerate every example and prove it irrefutably on the poliboard
if you're scared, just say you're scared. people who disagree with these points have gone to extraordinary lengths to rebut the claims of climate change advocates. seriously impressive investigation of the climate change claims

again, this is an unsubstantiated point. at best, all you're going to be able to do is circumstantial, i.e. correlation does not equal causation. there is no definitive way to prove that reducing carbon emissions "repaired" or instigated repair of the ozone layer. particularly when asia and india are even WORSE polluters now than they were

you have been brainwashed and you aren't thinking for yourself. total npc

Why would I need to enumerate and irrefutably prove anything more than just one or two examples to support my claim. And this wasn't about climate change but about regulatory rollbacks

The fact that they are such egregious violators also means that every dollar spent on improving their bmps has great returns compared to what we would get

Zoom in and it is clearly not Lafayette. Lafayette was in the 40s

It’s New York with a 999 rating

Edit: actually Lafayette doesn’t have a reading, but if LC is in the 50s, then Lafayette must be decent.

Albany, NY is 999

You have this right except for there is one element of the chicken littles you reference. Another significant portion is of those who know this stuff is bullshite but an effect way to take advantage of the chicken little element to get their votes.
