It’s a VERY common way for people to get their shite stolen. People have their backs turned to their vehicles, are on their phone, or something else.

It's lack of situational awareness. Pay attention to your surroundings, teach this to your wives and daughter's. It might save their lives. Men should learn it as well even though they aren't such easy targets.
