Exactly the kinda person you want speaking up of you want change. Big time donors start stating their disapproval and potentially pulling out and changes will be made quick, I can promise you that.

I honestly have no idea about the admission requirements being different for athletes versus students
I can tell you the best grades I ever got in college was in the classes that had football players. They would always give me copies of the test questions and answers. There “tutors” would always do their group projects and homework (yes I was i was in their groups).
It paid to be friends with and help out the football, baseball, or basketball players in whatever way I could. (My uncle was police chief in the town lol).
