"an instance of invading a country or region with an armed force."
I assure you that I am not the one that is confused here. That's the actual definition. You guys just want to make it sound worse so you can justify your point of view so you're being melodramatic as usual. Fear-mongering is the Republicans best friend

You know what would end illegal immigration quicker than a wall? Getting rid of the welfare state
Hate to break this to you but there will always be some form of welfare around.
It's essentially a bribe to the poor, dirty and uneducated masses to stay quiet and keep them fat and happy.
Cut off their welfare and you will see serious civil unrest that could get violent.
This is one of the biggest open secrets in politics. Only difference is that democrats are not lying about it.

I'm amazed at the small gov't Republicans that are all the sudden IN FAVOR of the Executive branch circumventing the Congressional process
Trump is acting with powers granted to him by Congress in the NEA. Congress willingly gave Trump that power. Why are you mad that he's exercising the power?
Why is Rand Paul not introducing legislation to repeal/amend that law that gives Trump this ability to do what he did?

I'm glad he got this shite voted down.
It's subject to a veto and there is no chance it will be overridden.
In other words, this was just a grandstanding stunt.

It's like there's no possibility of another party ever controlling the Executive branch again.
I'm glad he got this shite voted down.
I'm glad it got voted down. But you are wrong.
1) this doesn't make the federal government bigger or more powerful. It reallocates funds to enforce laws that are already on the books.
2) this would make the executive branch more powerful. And it would break hundreds of years of our constition protecting the power of the purse in the house. That is scary. And why I support the veto. That old checks and balances thing. Our government is best when change is hard/slow.

And the point of my argument is, it doesn’t matter if it’s the welfare state, or if we offered each illegal alien 100K and 72 virgins, the vote Rand took was to slow the flow of illegals across our border, whether they were coming for welfare, or to buy a snickers bar. Paul found a reason to not support that effort.

Good. The powers of the Executive (and Judicial) branches are too great in my opinion. For the rest of of our lives, we’ll have a Democrat in the White House half the time. I don’t want the President to have this much power.
Dude, Obama "wiretapped" the Trump Campaign...and then ran ("from the Top") the "insurance policy" strategy to throw out the duly elected POTUS.
Apparently, a lot of people - along with the naïve and/or misguided group of *principled* Republicans - still cling to the belief that the Dems will abide by Constitutional Rule of Law/Equal Justice.
Open Border>>>Democratic Socialism>>>>>collapse...rebellion/clean house/reboot. Thank you RINOs.

Fact: this "limited government" "conservative" probably voted for John McCain and Mitt Romney.
What would that have to do with the criminal alien invasion??
Serious question.

Thats silly. So if 20 people invaded your home that wouldn't be an invasion because they didn't have arms??
You people are just silly fake intellectuals picking and choosing definitions to fit your existing mentality.
You people!
Using your definition, how would you describe the situation of 20 people barging into your home and life and changing your daily activities?

He’s a libertarian. Their whole world revolves around pulling votes from shitty candidates, helping to ensure the election of even shittier candidates who advocate socialism, the welfare state, open borders, and an omnipotent federal government. But hey, they are for gutting the military, so they must be better than a shitty republican, right?

I emailed him and gave him a message that would make Mark Levin stand up and cheer. First time in years I’ve emailed a senator.

Are you kidding me? The Republican nominees in 2008 and 2012 support the very same things you rail against in your post and you get pissed at libertarians. Look in the mirror you fricking hypocrite.

So Obama was an improvement over either of those candidates? Because it was either them or Obama, and you want to shite on people who voted for the only candidate who wasn’t Obama.

I'll admit Romney was marginally better than Obama, but John McCain? Nope.

There’s your libertarian folks. Think of a president worse for this country than Barack Hussein Obama. I’m trying.

McCain may well have been one of the worst, we’ll never know. But it’s shocking to me that a libertarian could possibly prefer Obama, who you know without a doubt viewed the Constitution as an obstacle, a hindrance, and nothing more than a piece of paper to be usurped, ignored, dismissed, and wantonly violated in furtherance of his agenda.

I despised Obama as I despised McCain. They're equally unworthy of my vote, for particularly different reasons. For a million dollars from Saudi Arabia, John McCain would send some poor saps in the military who just wanted to pay for college to fight and die in some never-ending war in Shitholestan.
