Further down the rabbit hole we go....

This has the feel of something a lot larger than a mere wiretap.
Seems there is likely a panorama that will show all the filth going on behind the scenes.
Begins to make sense now why the BOS and Alleva and King was so hell bent on getting Wade pinned down. I hope Wade has the goods to spill on the cess pool around Baton Rouge and the game of money being funneled to recruits and Wade was forced to play ball.
We are just at the tip of a bigger picture just as Wade has mentioned in a recenr comment.
LSU is blowing smoke talking about "institutional control". For them to even think, forget about following through with NCAA involvement when there was zero need at the time, to involve the NCAA in the interview screams protecting bigger wigs.
Wade won't go down alone.
Burn this fricker down to the foundation, then take that foundation and take a jackhammer to it. Leave the ground and start over completely.
Wade won't be made the scapegoat for a larger conspiracy--both within Collegiate Sports and locally around Baton Rouge.

Stop reading too much into the situation. LSU has less than Grade A management.

LSU has bigger problems than a wire tap, bruh.

I haven't ruled out Wade potentially working with the Feds.
It wouldn't be the first time they used an undercover agent.
He could also be simply cooperating and giving them information in exchange for immunity.
Maybe that's what all the venom directed at Wade is about?
Maybe he's about to spill the dirt on the good ol' boys club and the board, president and administration fear being embarrassed in front of their peers by a guy they hired not playing by the good ol' boy rules.
Wade has been rumored to be disliked in those cirlces.
Not saying I believe this, just that it wouldn't totally surprise me if it turns out to be true.

Have you ever followed a high-profile FBI investigation and ensuing prosecution?
The pretty regularly use undercover agents and people they could convict who agree to talk to nail bigger fish. It's SOP.
Wade isn't under investigation, yet he's the guy taking all the heat. If he's hated anyway why wouldn't he talk?
It's not like a guy who can win 26 regular season games in his second year will ever have trouble finding another job regardless of what happens here.

It sounds tin foil-ish but it is VERY common and 100% plausible.

Thank you. That was my point.
I wasn't saying that I believe that to be the case. Just that it's plausible and fairly common.

Anyone who thinks this is a natural way to handle a situation where the FBI is NOT AFTER THE GUY BEING SLAMMED, along with the fact the FBI has told the NCAA to wait until after the trial to do anything, if anything at all, is flat wrong.
You have a top level basketball team that has Baton Rouge excited and showing up to watch a solid product and you can't allow things to play out? You want to act as investigator when the FBI and NCAA ARE NOT DOING SO?
What the frick? It is insane. You literally are suuciding or attempting to suicide your own season and program without a single shot fired except from some blowhard media prostitute with an unsubstantiated wiretap?
Yes, there is something bigger here than meets the eye.

I don't even wish stuff like this on my own worst enemy, and certainly not my alma mater.
