what your saying is highly powerful people in LA are going to have to roll on other highly powerful people in LA......it'll never happen because that would mess up both parties money flow. A backroom agreement will be made and we won't even know a quarter of what went down between OLOL, LSU employees, and any type of "slush fund".

Well Feds are involved in the embezzlement so that's the key. Why it's a national issue. Will they choose to open that box? I can't answer that.

from the other thread:

quote:

Not fake news at all. Boosters were directed to make donations to the foundation on behalf of athletes to provide jobs and payments. Complicated scheme but been going on for years and not only at LSU. This is only an issue because someone got sloppy and Deloitte uncovered it. The whole organization was complicit and gave LSU deniability. Now that JP is about to go down, he is taking others with him and the song birds are singing.

I'm sure the money flow doesn't stop here in LA when it comes to this.

We've seen recently how credible the FBI is right now....which is to say not very.

Yeah that's where it looks to be heading.

The thing yesterday with the celebs and the test stuff the paying to get their kid advantages wasn't unknown.

What was unknown was that they (the feds) chose to do something about it.

If the only thing there is that athletes were given "jobs," I don't see that being a big enough smoking gun to take down anyone.

If the kids showed up, regardless of effort, not much can be done.

From what is being said, The issue is that the monies being used were non-profit (I think)

There isn't a piece of legit information in 9 pages of this thread. You're asking me for confirmation, but take all the bullshite as gospel.

It's completely false. That's all I'll say. There is no connection.

There really hasn't been any legit information posted since the story broke. It's all rumor and fantasy at this point. The facts are simple, the rest is just conspiracy bullshite.

Specifically no. But this isn't some random situation.

Universities and Colleges compete against each other. One isn't going to let another have an advantage. And I'm not talking sports.

That's what I mean when I say LSU athletics will change forever.

If the Feds choose to follow the money all the way then it changes things everywhere.
