Chinese Inn circa 1977 to around 1993, when MK Wong owned it, best Chinese food ever in BR history..today is a just a joke living off a name, and humiliates it's former glory on Airline Hwy..after starting in a former gas station at Alamo Plaza.
Del Lago circa 1977 to 1983, unbelievable fine dining, incredible disco nightlife, BR's own lil' Studio 54 of the era. Linda Merriam had great recipes. The location of today's Ninfas.
The Village circa 1960s and 1970s, when Mrs Fannie was alive, and the Sicilian was in the kitchen cooking, really good Italian pasta dishes and veal. Today is where Academy Sports sits.
Chalet Brandt circa 1979 to 1988, Charles Brandt at his peak was the highest rated chef and dining experience that BR has ever achieved in terms of Mobil/Michelinesque ratings. Today is the location of Another Broken Egg on Old Hammond @ Jefferson.

Pasta Garden was awful.
