Before the trial was he considered the GOAT? Based on what I have seen he was not guilty but I could be wrong.

I’m pretty sure Jim Brown was still considered the GOAT

he was found not guilty because he was a black man and cops are racists so its ok he was a murderer

Maybe, but it's less about the trial and more that Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, LaDanian Tomlinson, etc. didn't then exist, so there were fewer contenders.
I'd still have put Jim Brown and Walter Payton over OJ in the early 90's, but OJ was very good on the field. He just did some other stuff too, so no on thinks of his football career any more.

Tell you what, if that was you on trial and the prosecution presented the evidence they produced in his trial to convince a jury that you were the killer, you'd be in jail for life without parole or on death row. No doubt in my mind about that.

He was awesome as Nordberg too.

LAPD made some critical mistakes. Can you imagine this on the age of twitter?

I will say that OJ was the best runner in the snow that I ever saw. I guess playing in Buffalo will do that for you.

I doubt OJ even thinks he's the best ever. Brown, Sanders, Payton are all better. You could argue that Dorsett was better than OJ.

Could make a good argument for it, dude did it all and did it while in the winter moshpit of Buffalo, excelled at all levels and achieved great feats now I think Walter and Jim Brown are ahead of him but Juice's great

If I remember right OJ played 10 or 11 seasons, had 4-5 amazing seasons and the rest were average. He had a great peak but didn't sustain it through out his career.
GOAT at any point - no
Pre-1994 - easily top 10 all time, but not higher than 5
Today - maybe still top 20 - but way closer to 20 than 15
College is another story.

Jim Brown, Gayle Sayers, and Barry Sanders are all better, so no.

Wrong... He was top 5 pre 1994.........
Remember that he ran for 2,003 yards in a 14 game season.... And in 1975 ran for 273 yard on thangksgiving in Detroit............. A then record that Walter broke in 1977.........

He was found not guilty because the LAPD severely mishandled the crime scene, Mark Fuhrman got caught lying under oath and had to plead the fifth to avoid perjury, and Marcia Clark & Chris Darden looked like incompetent amateurs with OJ’s all star group of attorneys in the same court room.
