Yep, and of that 76%, I wonder how many are on welfare/SNAP? And why in the hell is the welfare/SNAP payment not reduced to account for the free breakfast and lunch that is provided by the gubmint?
Just because the guardian receives SNAP doesn't mean she is using it all for nourishing food for the children. Could be trading for crack, who knows. But having school lunches is really the only way to make sure those children have the opportunity to eat regular meals. Being a conservative doesn't mean you have to be a heartless dick.

Who the frick said it did? But explain to me why two meals per day are provided to these kids, yet moms gets to keep the SNAP allotment for them too? I am fine with feeding the kids at school but I be damned if moms should get to keep all of the money that is intended to feed the five kids she has...
If that makes me a "heartless dick", then so be it...

This. That's one area I'm willing to waste money. At our local school no child is to be denied lunch. If there's an issue. I'll pay it. Same for school breakfast. We also have a program (yes, it's socialist) that sends at risk children home with healthy food and snacks in a back pack. I supplement at times with my own money...and no, it's not tax deductible. My wife and I also make sure all the kids have good winter coats and clothes. Teachers and counselors know to contact us when there's an issue. I have reached out to some super libs I know to see if they'd like to put their money where their social media mouth is. So far I've had zero takers. Same a Christmas.
But I support Trump and conservative policies overall. I'm their enemy, but if a fraction of them would step up and make individual sacrifices for the issues they champion, the problems would be solved without the need for gov't intervention, higher taxes or new laws. Instead, they'd rather preach from their high horses and demand more of others while doing jack shite themselves. If someone puts their time and money into a cause, I have zero issues with them and give full respect. It's those that only give mouth service and demand the services and resources of others to do what they are unwilling to do themselves.

Sorry but I can not agree with this. It's their kids, their responsibility.
If they are having kids and not properly taking care of them they are the heartless dicks, not me.

You're right. Kids who don't get fed need food at school. Any kid who receives said free food should have their home inspected and parents judged and punished if there is no real reason for not being able to fulfill their societal responsibilities.

This is a terrible position to take.
If a guardian can't/won't feed their kids, those kids should not be in their care. It's literally the primary responsibility of a caregiver. If that can't/won't happen, they need to be given to someone who will take care of them.
Feeding them and then turning a blind eye is what's heartless.

I have absolutely no love for illegals at all. None. The mothers, fathers or the anchor babies or dreamers. None. I don’t care if they all starve. They go to their arse back to their home land and eat all the tacos they want.
