Judging guys on 40 times meh?

SEC Speed
SEC speed is more about the speed on the defensive front 7. Anyone with any knowledge of college football knows this. It's about team speed, not a couple of individual offensive skill players.

Metcalf also measured out at 6'3, 228lbs (1.6% body fat). Dude has monster measurables for a WR..

Valid metric in football for well over 50 years.
They'll probably still time 40's next year (even if a couple random internet experts don't condone it)

40 times are useless.

They're somewhat overrated. Michael Thomas has a laughably bad 40 time and is one of the best receivers in the NFL. Larry Fitzgerald is a first ballot hall of famer and wasn't very fast.
It's just a way to split hairs over people who look to be equally good ball players.

So Ohio State couldn’t get these guys drafted in 4 years?

What does this have to do with Joe Burrow.
I have a feeling this is about him

Only thing I know about Ohio State and running is how Purdue ran the buckeyes off the field last season

This. No one has ever accused Ted Ginn, Santonio Holmes, and Chris Wells of being slow. The Big Ten offensive tackles could not handle the SEC defensive ends in those bowl games, especially Ohio State in the Tressel era.
It also appeared in the Clemson/Notre Dame game this year. It's more of a case where southern teams have much quicker players on the lines of scrimmage than midwestern teams do.

Ahh, I had no college football knowledge so thank you for helping me understand your SEC Speed wisdom.

And they still can’t go undefeated in the slow Big 10

Please Don't mock Powerman, he gave me a lesson in college football today.

Didn’t Fitzgerald run like a 4.45?

Al Davis shuddered in his grave when you typed that.

They should make players run the 40 in full pads on turf.

Did OK against Bama in the '14 season playoffs. And, it was a WR block that took out 2 Bama defenders and sprung Zeke Elliott for the game breaking TD. 79 yards, I think.

Those were the last points scored by a Big 10 team in a CFP semifinal game.
