Larto, Pilot town, and Chandelier Islands were mentioned on page 2. I’m going through that old thread now bc I’ve always been fascinated with isolated places.

My family grew up there and my two older brothers were even born there. Most residents moved out after Camille.
Was a special place growing up but not much left to it now.

I will cast a vote for Larto. Been all over the state, and had no idea how rural that area is until a few years ago. Hell, you can’t even get by highway 3102 for weeks at a time due to high water.
