While I'm a fan of both AC/DC and Kiss, AC/DC has a ton of groove in their songs, provided you ("you" in general, not you specifically) bother long enough to check. There's a reason why, as simple as their songs are on the surface, few if any bands can successfully pull off playing an AC/DC cover song without it sounding stiff & lifeless.
Edit: I'm talking specifically about AC/DC songs with Rudd drumming.

Their sound is unique. They may sound like simple power chords, but that's the beauty of it. they make it sound simple, but there is nothing simple about it.

You seem to be taking them more seriously than they take themselves.
I was in 4th grade when I first heard this song: Big Balls. I thought it was hilarious then, and I still smile hearing it now.
Plus, Malcolm and Angus Young are an incredible rhythm and lead guitar combination.

Good to see this week's "Why I think (fill in blank of any of the greatest classic rock artists of all-time) is the most overrated band of all time".

Yeah, I don't listen to AC/DC much anymore. I did prefer the Bon Scott years way back, but I can think of many more overrated bands. Then you have bands that have had multiple lead vocalists, etc. AC/DC definitely has some sophmoric lyrics, that is true, but the band had the sound to match.
