And there are plenty of people that think the earth is flat, or that the moon landing was fake.

Doesn't mean they're correct.

I could say the same for your eating habits.

I’ve ate all of that and that’s on him.

Food to me is fuel and fuel only. As long as I’m healthy enough to continue working out and continuing to travel to a few different countries every year it doesn’t matter. If I’m blessed enough to live to 103 and get to every country I’ve wanted and climb as many mountains as I wish it’s easily going to be worth it for me.

Sucks to be him to have regrets and let that dictate his entire existence.

Conventional science is on my side.

Eat however you want. I don't care. Just don't act like science has proven that meat is bad for you or that humans are herbivores.

Science can be proven correct on either side. Not once have I said meat is bad for you in this tread or any tread. Eat what you want and I’ll eat what I want. The bashing came towards my eating habits.

So, at least we can agree that neither one of us gives a frick about what the other eats.

Conventional science is one thing but the shitty standard American diet is another. But hey, I’m not fat and I’m in shape. Could give a shite less of any of y’all are.

Of course. But this topic is pretty well worn.

Fair enough. I projected onto you what I often hear and see from vegan zealots and propaganda documentaries. Apologies.

So in your opinion Americans are fat & out of shape because of meat?

Look, I'm not vegan, and I'm not advocating for veganism as an ideal.

I will say, based of this statement, dude appears to have been doing some other stuff that contributes to a general sense of lack of well being.

Maybe 35 days without food contributed to feeling exhausted too. This is one reason I'm more of the moderation and simplicity view of diet. When you're simulatenously vegan and fasting for long times, which one is responsible for feeling bad? Maybe both work together to make you feel bad?

No worries at all. I can’t stand those vegan zealots. I abhor them with a passion. My wife and sons still eat meat and that’s fine. Hell, I grilled them burgers last night. We all have the right to eat what we want. What works for me may not work for you, ya know?

Most Americans are out of shape due to the overconsumption of food. Meat, processed foods, and primarily sugar. High fructose syrup is a major issue but I’d like to think most of us here agree on all of this. Plus, most Americans are lazy as frick.

I eat meat and don’t have guilt. Some of it I kill myself.
I don’t believe humans HAVE to have meat, but I don’t see why not.

Vegan Youtuber goes meat again

Interesting. I’ve seen a lot of this lately. Perhaps because I’m currently a recovering vegan, but many of the people I was following on social media have backed off of the vegan thing and gone full carni. From what I can tell, most have transitioned back to meat after a 5 year period of veg. I can say this was pretty consistent with my timing of eating meat again.

I felt great eating vegan up until about 18 months ago. Lots of brain fog, and I needed to listen to my body. Feeling better now

I'm curious as to what kind of supplementation is needed on a vegan diet. For an athletic person, it doesn't seem like a whole food vegan approach would be sustainable. Whereas its a demonstrative fact humans can thrive off of fatty meat and water alone.

The only supplementation I do is b12 and d3.

There’s quite a few endurance runners like Rich Roll who are vegan and thrive. Many NBA players, too.

I personally love rice and beans. Like, love it. I get a ton of protein there. I put ground flax seed on my oatmeal, too. Fish oil has always been a constant. I did that even as a meat eater.

Maybe you've mentioned, how long have you been vegan?

I went from vegetarian to vegan about two years ago. I was only doing yogurt for breakfast and decided to cut that out. I haven’t had meat in about four years.

There you go. I’m glad you are supplementing with B12. Every Vegan should.
