Watched "A Few Good Men" for the first time last night. How does this board rate it?

I enjoyed it immensely.
Demi Moore was fine in it.

Honestly...How? It's on TV daily it seems.

I wouldn't say that. She was better looking in other movies
I enjoy the movie though

I'm pretty sure the movie has its own extended basic cable channel

“Sir” is said over 150 times in the film. That’s more than once a minute.

There's a good line where the Judge admonishes Col. Jessup after Jessup belittles the Judge and the courtroom and forces the court to address him as Colonel.
The Judge responds and says something like "and you can address me as judge or your honor, I believe I've earned it...take your seat...Colonel".
It was awesome.

Actually Jessup tells the judge that Caffey should address him as Colonel, then says “I believe I’ve earned that much. What kind of kangaroo court are you running here??”
The judge then instructs Caffey to refer to Jessup as Colonel, then says “and Colonel, you will refer to me as Judge or Your Honor. I’m quite certain I’ve earned it. Now take your seat.”
It was awesome indeed
And yeah, I like the movie a lot

I can't think of anyone I talked to, literally anyone that doesn't like this movie.

Love the movie. I'm always amazed how much humor they managed to squeeze into such a serious drama. Still a good watch all these years later.

I think the movie mishandle the issue. I remember watching and Demi Moore made a case of how she liked the defandants because the stand on the wall and tell her everything is going to be ok. That’s one side. Then you have Kevin pollock say that he didn’t like them because they picked on a weaker person because they could. The Strong was suppose to protect the weak. That’s the other side.
Both make good points. But both are reactive responses. The focus should’ve been at a preventative approach . How can we prevent this from happening again? How can the system prevent another Santiago from enlisting in the marine? Are there guidelines and if the guidelines can’t be met...”thanks for the tryout but sorry”. If there isn’t the same will happen again and we will have to deal with the issue all over again.

He didn't say it was the best she ever looked. He said she was fine in it. She was.

Their job was to defend their clients. They weren't there to fix the system. Why would they be wasting time talking about how to stop it from ever happening again?

I never liked the scene where these two Naval officers apparently don't know:
"Unit, Corps, God, Country"
That's not really an official Motto, is it?
And Kevin Pollocks character takes great exception to that like he wouldn't have have heard of it - even being a Naval officer.
But wouldn't it be, "God, Country, Corps."????

Demi is better when he lets out her inner slut.
I thought the movie was good but not truly great.

If you ever do, you should strenuously object to their dumb opinion.

my favorite part of the movie is when Cruise is hitting grounders and making a deal with the prosecutor because someone smoked a dime bag of oregano.
"Let's get 2!"
"Let's get 2!"

I was stating from an philosophical point, not duties of the attorneys.
