Brigsten’s
The wife loves it, but when she took me there it wasn’t good.
Maybe just an off night.

the Ruth's responses are surprising to me. Every meal I have had there has been excellent.

If any chain steakhouse is overrated, it’s Flemings. That place is mediocre at best.

Same. It's always been delicious.

RC does a good job on bigger cuts of meat in my opinion. I have always found the smaller cuts like the petite filet or smaller ribeye are overcooked. It may because of the 1200* plate and the butter that feels like sun lava on your tongue.

I like the filet.. maybe it is the high heat that retains the moisture of the steak when it's cooked.. but you can order a filet medium rare, cut into it, and it doesn't bleed in the plate. Like butter..

Lit Pizza is overrated. Loved the brisket collab but their dough needs to either be cooked a little more crispy, or maybe be tossed thinner.

Shaya so I assume Saba is the same. I love Middle Eastern food and hummus, etc. but I never walked out of Shaya ever saying, "damn was that good!"

You'd assume wrong. Went to Saba a couple months ago and the meal was absolutely outstanding. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. Easily exceeded my expectations.

Florida Georgia Line House (FGL House) in Nashville.
Worst ever. Not even close.
Burger so bad I wish I had Wendy's.
Even worse the huge video board was them playing on their guitars. Not the NLDS.

Wait, a shitty bro country band that attatched their shitty bro country band name to a restaurant DIDN'T exceed expectations???

I'm going off my Shaya experiences. That was a 2016 James Beard Best New Restaurant in the country - that is just so far from my experiences there, while Alon Shaya was still chef. Overrated.

I never went to Shaya, so I can’t speak to that. I’m just saying that my experience at Saba was outstanding, so I feel like you’re assuming wrong. Maybe you’ll go and feel differently, maybe not.

When it was basically $20 all you could eat Shaya was awesome. When it turned to dropping $100 and begging for pitas the place lost its luster.
I not well versed, but apparently the style food is just unique here. A lot of visitors I have recommended Shaya/Saba to are just alright with the food. Nothing they can't get at home.
