But I think it was basket interference. I don’t care though they clearly got 5-6 more calls in there favor

Reid Travis stuck his hand through the rim on the Mays attempt. That’s goaltending but nobody on espn is upset about it

It was a garden variety tip in. Don’t act like this is some kind of unusual play.

Actually it was goal tending by Kentucky player. Stuck his hand thru the rim.

I wish there was a still shot of this. The ball looked out of the cylinder to me on Slowmo. Another poster says a uk guy had his hand up through the basket which would be goaltending on them if anything. Some still frames would be nice.

And the refs didn't notice the over-the-back (of Naz)on Kentucky's last basket under the goal.

Their favor... not there. Don’t talk about rules if you can’t follow them.

only if he touched the ball or made the rim move or shake.

You can put your hand in there if you don't make contact. High school is different. You can't even mess with the net.

It was goal tending. The ball has to be outside the cylinder but i couldnt give a frick. They let Kentucky tie the game with bullshite foul.

he touched the rim. i know breakaway rims are a thing, but hard to believe he didn't move it at all.

KY Goaltending

KB-W right as he was going for the tip in. (Ball had hit the rim and was travelling away from the basket per the replay.)

2 possibilities here:

-good basket
-violation

It is indeed close, but real time IMO it’s closer to a good basket than it is to a violation if that makes sense. Could have gone either way I guess.

As someone else said, this was a “garden-variety tip-in.” We see these in every basketball game. Only reason there is controversy around this one because it was UK at Rupp and the final play of the game.
