Idk you tell me. Maybe you can tell me why the north didn’t free their own slaves while you’re at it

That doesn’t mean the north fought to end slavery. They didn’t at all, they fought to preserve the union.

Had the north fought to end slavery, the north would have freed their own slaves at the onset of the war.

The emancipation proclamation would have affected and freed the slaves in the north had he thought slavery was wrong.

That they left the Union.

The fact the south owned slaves had absolutely zero to do with why they waged war on the south.
