Here’s a piece in Forbes today about the depression and failure he overcame after his first (unsuccessful) run in Washington.

Mad? Why would I be mad? I love pointing out that Abe was a racist who didn’t give a shite about blacks.

It completely destroys his great emancipator title.

Does it make you mad to know that Abe was racist? That he wanted to send blacks back to Africa? That he always believed blacks were worse than whites?

How mad does it make you to know that Abe didn’t fight to free slaves?
