Mars on NatGeo/Netflix

An historical/future fiction show about the first manned mission to Mars in 2033. It’s a pretty interesting format with flashbacks to 2016 showing documentary style interviews with real people in the space industry talking about challenges that would need to be overcome. They even have a good bit of footage of Elon Musk and Space X.
The documentary format does make it a bit dry and educational feeling, so it probably doesn’t have broad mainstream appeal, but if you’re a space/sci-fi enthusiast you’ll probably like it.

I liked the 1st season. I could not get into the 2nd season.

Watched both seasons, but will not watch another if there is one. The "preachy" level was amped up in season two-- basically all the flashbacks were to Greenpeace types and climate change pushers. After a while I just fast-forwarded through those parts.
But the whole "future" plot was almost as bad: pretty much all "corporations bad, left wing scientists and socialists good".

I have a question about the book this is produced from. It says "How to live on mars" is the book they got this from... However, it seems to be right out of the book "Red Mars." Has anyone read both books or the red mars and feel the same way?

Enjoyed the first season but couldn't get beyond two episodes of season two,
They could have filmed the entire season in a pulpit for all the preaching they did.

I watched episode 1 season 1 last night on Netflix, and enjoyed it. Elon is probably gonna go down as one of the most influential people in Human History, and its incredible the things that Space X are doing.

Thought the show was pretty interesting. I wish they would have taken the subject matter further and not so much human conflict.
