Joy Villa has made a political statement on this year’s 2019 Grammy red carpet – once again.

The singer opted to wear a “Build The Wall” gown to the annual award show, with a brick-inspired pattern dress, barbed wire on her shoulders, spikes in her hair and, of course, a MAGA handbag.

“When Trump came in the picture, at first I hated him,” Villa told the outlet. “All my music friends hated him and wanted Bernie. I thought ‘Bernie looks good; he seems like a cool dude.’ To me, the Republicans weren’t cool. And Trump ended up becoming so obnoxious and so in our face.”

But, as the musician went on to research the current U.S. president, she soon became a supporter.

“I was a secret Trumper for months,” she says.

She sure has come out of the closet. What kind of world do we live in, when a person has to hide their support of prez Trump? I thought the left was the "tolerant" side.
If more people would do their research in a sincere way, they too would become supporters of Trump.

Would like to see more of these MAGA handbags.

Sadly, this is the type of rationale a lot of younger voters use.

I like it, but Joy’s dress from last year was even better

She's an attention whore that tries to be edgy. I don't mean it as an insult to her.

It's more of an insult to celebrities than it is to her. Since celebrities have been so uniform in their socialist bullshite, that something as simple as "build the wall" or "make America great again " can create such a stir and generate outrage.

She doesn't. She literally wore it down the red carpet at the Grammys.

When you try to irritate people by being in their face, it generally works. Also you don't have to be tolerant towards intolerance

I noticed the first 20 or so comments were all positive

These polls showing Trump not doing well are BS when you see Trump backers all over a Google article comment board

Well, that's what it was designed for.

I've never heard of her nor do I know any of her music but I may have to buy some of her music for the heck of it. I feel the same way about Kanye although I do know him and some of his music.

It may seem silly and trivial but it wouldn't be a bad idea to support the careers of some of these artists who traditionally would never support MAGA even privately much less come out and publically support him in such a bold way. It only takes a few of these music artists and/or actor/actresses to survive having their careers ruined for bold, public MAGA support to open the floodgates to more Hollywood types to come out in support.

Like it or not, Hollywood does have a lot of influence on American political culture and a steady trickle of AA, Hispanic, Asian, etc musical artists and actors/actresses coming out to show public MAGA support could lead to many people in those communities afraid to admit they support MAGA to come out in support

I know that even in 2019 people of color live unimaginably difficult lives of oppression at the hands of white devil, but at least they get to wear MAGA stuff in public without consequences.
