Son wants to sign a 1 year lease at the Villas on Brightside
Can anyone give me some insight on this place?
I'm worried it's too close to Alvin dark that goes into crime ridden tigerland

One time my buddy came in drunk and popped a Totino's pizze in his Brightside villa apt then promptly passed out. Completely forgetting the POUND of pot he had stashed in the oven. Good times.

I’d start calling him “Mister Brightside” and if he’s worth a damn, his self-respect would fire him up to make a more rational decision.
If I (as a parent) had any money involved in this decision, I’d let my kid know that I wouldn’t pay for them to live there.

I lived there about 5 years ago. Place was small but cheap. Management was nice. Nothing special about it but you get what you pay for. Lots of asians lived there. The LSU bus stops there so you dont have to worry so much about parking on campus. The proximity to tigerland was nice. Brightside bar and grill was right next door but unfortunately it closed. It's one of the shittier but cheaper complexes on Brightside but it seemed pretty safe at the time

They did a small rehab to upgrade the units in the last year or so. Staff are good people.

I lived there for a year during school, good place, no riff raff.
staff was very helpful to us college kids always late with rent

couple years ago, I'm not even sure if the building is there anymore. They tore the deck down so for a while it was just this big overgrown box in the middle of that lot
