I understand your point but the problem with that is he can get to the lakers if he wants. All he has to do is not sign with the new team he’s traded to and go to the lakers the following summer but again remember pels can but can’t just trade him anywhere since he’s basically a rental

I don't care how many mediocre picks you send me, I need a potential star and I don't see that on the Lakers. The best player the Lakers could offer is an underachieving PG who shoots 41% from the FT line.
Tatum gives me a potential star, a top 3 pick gives me a potential star, Brooklyn gives me potential star power (Jarrett Allen, Caris Levert, & Spencer Dinwiddie), Toronto, shoot even Miami gives me more potential star power than LA.
And before you start the response of "AD won't resign anywhere but LA", it doesn't matter what you or I think, it matters if these owners believe they can convince AD to stay. And trust me, there is enough ego to go around that says "if I get him here, I can convince him to stay"

Lakers offer was dogshit. Just because they put 10 players in the deal doesn’t mean any of them are very good.

And yes you are correct that it matters what the owners and front office of other teams believe but it also matters the timing of it. Ainge can say he doesn’t care right now to convince the lakers to pass up on the lakers offer but again what happens in the summer when kyrie leaves like I said which if you listen to his words lately it sounds like he’s reneging on his commitment to sign back with the Celtics this summer. Remember kyrie wants his own team. So wouldn’t ainge second guess everything this summer now that he has the pels ear.

This isn't Boston vs. the Lakers. It's Boston vs. the Knicks vs the Clippers vs. the Lakers. The Pelicans leverage will be fine.

You didn’t read but you name call so you must’ve read and didn’t like unless you’re just that stupid to dislike something you didn’t read but continue

How’s he going to sign with the Lakers in 2020?
Tell us all about it.
Tell us all about it.

Pels have shown repeatedly they can acquire players of the talent level of a Kuzma, Ingram, and almost every starting PG in the league is better than Lonzo right now without having to trade an Anthony Davis to do it.
Also between this year and 2021 the Lakers firsts would have been trash picks.
Pels would have cemented themselves as a team that would never be better than 5th in the West and that would be through development and over financially committing to those players and nailing some draft picks which they have to do anyway.
Pels want a player they wouldnt be able to land on their own in return for an Anthony Davis like a top lottery selection or a Tatum + 1st round picks that are in the lottery even if at the tail end of it.
Pels were offered McDoubles and McRibs by the Lakers and are waiting for some packages that feature fresh caught crab + lobster
I am sorry the Lakers may not make the playoffs this year and if they sneak in will get bounced round 1 by the Warriors in 5 games or less. Sucks for all you Lefan Boys

quote:And how would the Lakers know that? Magic gonna ask Ainge what he offered?
If the Celtics don’t offer Tatum
Celtics offered EVERYTHING as far as Magic knows, if we get back on the phone with him. Knicks offered everything too. So did the Clippers. All we have to do is leak fake offers to Woj

ummm it kinda is the clippers don’t have any assets but cap space which they can’t give away and he said he won’t resign in Boston and Milwaukee doesn’t have anything they can offer and like I said the knicks is predicated on them getting lucky enough to get ithe top pick and wanting to actually deal the pick instead of keep it which yes I know I don’t matter in the grand scheme of things but I really doubt they would deal the pick instead of taking Zion whom they would need for multiple reasons. So who’s left out of those teams that’s right the lakers.
