bullshite ALERT.
I may be preaching to the choir with you The Pirate King, but your post is relevant to my point...

Next time someone mentions about doing something for "the brand" or "marketing purposes" remember this fact and how the perception has been twisted in way that it does not reflect those facts.

Our admin and media department needs to step it up.

Worth noting, it is not only that above. Compare Meatball to Kuligowiski and the fact that in the last decade Kuligowiski has had 4 1st round DL picks. That's impressive.

I'm also going to note that ex-Toledo coaches do freaking great. I can think of an OL coach or two from there I wish we'd interviewed.

LSU has 2 DL in the Pro Bowl and 1 in the Superbowl.

Alabama had none.

Kindly point out which one of these guys strung along their home state school until the very last minute all while knowing they were coming to LSU and blatantly lying to their home school's staff. I'll wait.

Also, suck my balls.

I'm trying to find out who these "top" linemen are and am coming up blank.

well, do you watch football? college and nfl, or just one or the other?

I can think of john allen and daron payne as 1st rounders just off top of my head. and the Williams kid will be another 1st rounder this year. 3 years and 3 first rounders likely resonates with these kids. we don't have to like it, but to deny the reality is dumb

Already talking about the NFL?!? Looks like he needs to do some research and see how many guys actually make it there.

He was asked whether "LSU or Oregon" was the runner up. He refused to say.

This was never close

Yep. He definitely went in dry on LSU and the coaching staff. Hopefully we can repay him on the field.

He’s not wrong. We don’t develop linemen like we once did. I’ve said it before but I think it starts with Moffit. I think it’s time to look at changes in our S&C.

Yes it’s all development, Alabama signing 5-6-7 top 100 DL is purely a coincidence

Getting drafted in the 1st round doesn't make you a top talent in the NFL. It means they think you will be a top talent. Look back at those Bama names drafted in the first round and tell me how many have produced in the NFL. Overrated is what they are.

Apparently nobody’s told him that he needs to put in a little work himself. He may be in for a rude awakening.

He dominated in HS because he was bigger and stronger and more athletic than the players he played against. Not because he put in any work. When he had to play against players his size, strength and athleticism, he got beat and beat bad at times. There is no magic potion that gets you to the NFL. Going to bama isn't an entitlement to the NFL, like so many of bama's recruits believe. And here comes another one. The kid is a liar and a clown. Just like his brother. I still can't believe Rodney went on National TV and committed to Oregon. LMAO Is he that dumb? Or does he think we are all that dumb? I mean, does he really believe Oregon is going to give him a scholarship without his brother? That dude is stupid. LMAO

Sopheser is a groupie LSU has nothing but NFL players. Coach O has helped a lot a d lineman make it to the NFL. LSU is not a group of 5 school.

Looking at his film, he didn't look to be as dominant as the pereception. He is ranked based on potential, when matched up against equal talent he was exposed. The talking heads were even noting the lack of effort on his films. I think we dodged a bullet with this kid.

Thank you for taking the time to research that! Brockers was a beast for the Rams all year but especially for the championship game! I’m sure our coaches are using this in their recruitment.

Well stated! Moffit is very well respected by many programs around the country. Nicky went after him hard when accepted the Alabama HC. I think Florida State went after him a few years ago too! I don’t pay much attention to sones opinion on this board but we need better talent on DL. Ika will be very good for us. Shelvin will be a Star too. 2020 is loaded with DL in Louisiana. We need them all
