I’m finding it hard to realize that we completely struck out on the most important position of need this year

pretty much a direct correlation of program success is DL

we just haven't been doing it since Miles last few years.

Doesn't make sense

I get downvoted everytime I point this out...

just "next year is loaded" is what i'm told.

what about this year? are we not going to play?

Can't keep missing this trench guys like that.... something gonna have to change.

if the Juco DL was the "back up" plan.. then we should have been recruiting another DL after he committed.

Hopefully this means Meatball can take his arse somewhere else. On his way out he can take useless O too he can't recruit dline for shite either. The biggest weaknesses on the team are going to be here 3 years from now.

Does O deserve an extension after this?

We will not get elite defensive linemen until Meatball is gone. He does not have enough experience to be Defensive Line Coach at LSU.

We had an elite DL in state and 4 more elite options one state over which happens to be the home state of our DL coach. End up with none of them and only one of the Miss. kids signed with a Miss. team. Big time failure.

Ika was going to be our only true DT to begin with. O was going to let Ish play DE. If you want to count the DE's in the DT haul, we have 3 in this class.

I'm not worried about Ish. O has been harping about needing linemen since he became coach. I'm confident he'll do what he needs to do.

Edit: When we start winning championships, we'll start getting our picks in recruiting. Until then, we develop whomever we can bring in to accomplish our goals.. even if we have to wait a little while for those players to develop before we reach those goals. That's where we're at
