Damn. Great article. Lowe is one of the best in the biz.

Very fair, measured, and well thought out article, and that really captures A LOT of the rumors we are hearing in NOLA.

Lots of MSB idiots should read it.

That's a very good, balanced article.

From the outside, of course the Pelicans should wait. Waiting brings the possibility of Tatum. It brings clarity with New York's draft position, and on the Clippers' around the draft and July 1. The Lakers aren't going to play hard ball and take Ingram or Kuzma or whomever off the table in July. Come on. They don't want to wait until the summer of 2020 to sign Davis in free agency, because doing that could require keeping cap space open -- and possibly going through LeBron's age-35 season in 2019-20 with another makeshift temporary roster. They may not be the frontrunner for any of this summer's star free agents -- not one.

Please casual fans, if you don't feel like reading the entire article, at least read this paragraph

Very good article and informative. I was very impressed with Tatum in last year's playoffs, including his all-around game and confidence to take clutch shots when needed.

However, just to play Devil's Advocate a little. Tatum is averaging 16/6/2 this year while Kuzma 18.6/6/2 and Ingram 17/5/3 appear to rising young players plus the Lakers want to throw in a bunch of other players and picks.

If I'm the Pelicans, I don't want to deal with the Lakers because of all the collusion and telling AD what to say publicly. I would just wait until July 1st as the article mentions. However, maybe the Lakers offer on July 1st is the best that they will get, especially if their guys end the season strong and continue to show improvement. If Ingram just puts on about 20 lbs, he might be an All-Star one day.

May be a stupid question, but why don’t the Celtics just trade Kyrie now and then get Davis?

Pels should take the Lakers deal! They’re stupid not to!
