If they don’t understand English, why would they spend money on a concert of an English speaking band?

You can enjoy music without being able to interpret the lyrics

I like Juanes for example and only know what a few of the words mean
Juanes - La Camisa Negra

I'd definitely be more interested in seeing him than Aaron Lewis

You have posted many times about something you don't care about. That seems contradictory. It appears to most that you do care. That caring caused you to post over and over.

So... Why do you care about this so much?
Oh look, the tried and true TD why do you care routine? I'll wait to answer on your answer for why you care enough to badger me about why I care.

Dude, its obvious you dont know what youre talking about.

The dude was trying to play an acoustic song and if the crowd wouldnt be quiet they wouldnt hear it.

Did you watch the video that was linked?

The only point is that being American is essentially entirely uncorrelated with knowing songs in foreign languages. His remark (I would say obviously intended as an insult of some sort) is a non sequitur at best.

How is this an insult?

Say you're sitting in a restaurant in France. The server walks up and asks for your drink request. You don't speak French.

What do you say?

"I'm sorry, I'm American. I don't speak French."

Which is pretty much exactly what he said. But replace French with Spanish and it somehow becomes an insult?

And you're calling others snowflakes?

Sad how political lines are drawn even over a fricking concert and everything else in life.

All the libs are going after him over this...

Was he wearing blackface and killing babies?

Guess they need something after last week to make them feel better.

Just wait til RBG croaks... OHH MAHH GAAWWWDDD.

Someone asked him to SING something in Spanish...and he replied that he doesn't SPEAK Spanish. Like I said, a non sequitur. I don't speak any of the non-English languages I know songs in myself. I'm not stupid enough to link any of that to being an American though.

As far as assumptions go, it's not a bad one to assume that Americans speak English.

That was easy.

I'm not even marginally offended. He can do whatever he wants to those Mexicans down there. However, he doesn't seem too bright AND he's a douche for walking off of his own concert.

Having exactly what to do with responding to a request to sing something in Spanish? Be honest - you know AT LEAST 2 songs in the Spanish language if not more.

Everything I've said has been exactly true. Sorry you're too worked up to understand simple facts and logic.

It has quite a bit to do with it. He is in a large majority of other Americans and responded accordingly. This is a whole lot of nothing here.

The large majority of Americans know at least one song in Spanish.
