Maybe I missed it but a friend had this thought in mind and it sounds like it could be pretty accurate. Thoughts?

I'm not sure I want Ensminger grooming anyone. It's not like Ensinger is some legendary OC that is getting ready to retire.

There may be some organizational things E could teach him. Maybe some day to day things that don't necessarily have to do with the actual designing of the offense. I'm sure Ensminger has plenty to offer to an up and coming coach in that respect simply due to his time in the sport.

I’m sure he will have quite a bit of say in the offense this year, and it’s an interesting thought. I’m not sure one way or the other though. I guess if we see a big improvement with the offense this season, he could end up being the OC, in the future.

Yep! I agree there must be some advantages working together as opposed to throwing the guy right into the role!

I think a lot of us are expecting this to happen. Ensminger helps him with so much experience. Brady is the modern, young, OC we will be looking for. Hopefully he’s Kliff Kingsbury, Sean Mcvay, Kyle Shannahan, Kendall Briles, etc. type.

Ensminger knows a lot about the game. Don't be silly. He can teach Brady some things.

He’ll bring in the best coordinators they said. We’ll hire the best OC and DC with all the money we save on our budget HC they said.

Orgeron has no business trying to find diamonds in the rough at OC. There are plenty of established OCs out there that would do wonders with our talent. Why we haven’t hired one of them yet is Ming boggling. This was literally his pitch to get the HC job and he’s played us for fools.

Ensminger is just coming into his own as an offensive coordinator. The next ten years with him at the helm have the potential to be special.
