Robey-Coleman is now trying to argue that there was no pass interference.

Video of the play seems to support the argument, with the flight of the ball changing slightly after passing the left hand of Rams defensive lineman Michael Brockers.

It’s wasn’t. But if it were can you still launch yourself helmet to helmet on a receiver like he did? I don’t think so.

Next thing you know the Rams will argue that the Saints player is guilty of the helmet to helmet, not the Rams.

Exactly. It wasn't tipped, but just to play Devil's advocate with the idiots that say it was, then you quip back with "What about the helmet to helmet that the NFL has admitted happened because they fined him?" Usually shuts them up.

CBS app took me to a vid of some prick saying Peat committed hands to the face (that incidental of contact is never called, only if you grab and pull the face mask or push through their face), and that there was a holding (idk where though). He also lied and said it looked like it was tipped. He justified it and said blah blah control the things you can instead of complaining.

Worst case scenario you replay the down. That anyone could justify that helmet to helmet OR pass interference not being called regardless of anything else on the field is cowardly and chicken shite.

:rotflmao:I'm over it, bt gtfo with this nonsense. There was no tip, and even if there was, it was still a blatant penalty that should have been called.

If and a big IF it was tipped, the flag should still be thrown and the officials have a conference to determine whether or not it was tipped and then pick up the flag if they determine it was in fact tipped.

No flag = gross incompetence and any other explanation is a weak attempt to spin for public perception

How much do you think Coleman and the Rams regret that foolish, classless video of Coleman gloating about how illegal and hard that hit was while high as a kite? Because even if they genuinely believed this “tipped pass” garbage, it’s irrelevant to the helmet-to-helmet/defenseless receiver PFs that he also bragged about. They have to know they’re at the bottom of the barrel here, and yet they can’t stop scraping because the only thing left to do if they stop is acknowledge the near certainty that their win is illegitimate.

I wonder if it’s finally sinking in for the Rams that, in their own way, the refs kinda fricked them too.

That is bullshite and it is sad that it took them a full week to come up with this narrative. If this was legit it would been talked about before the game was even over.

I knew eventually he would change his position on it.

It happens almost every time.

Fine.

What about the helmet to helmet?
Unnecessary roughness?
Defenseless player?

PLUS

There's no indication it was tipped rea-ltime.

If that's the basis for the no call, then you through the flag pending booth review.

Yep...

If they win, they win an asterisk. If they lose, well they weren’t supposed to be there anyway.

NFL called him and told him unless he wanted his fine doubled to STFU.

Like others have said, the PI isn't even what's egregious. Launching helmet first is.

Also if it's tipped we could have challenged whether it was or not.

Did the refs signal that it was tipped?

Neither are true.

Defensive player was right in the line of sight of the ball and the receiver could see him plainly as daylight coming right at him.

This wasn't a blind hit.

If what you posted is true we could never play football again, every play would be a penalty.

Only thing remotely possible - just possible - was helmet to helmet.

But he wasn't defenseless, he wasn't blind or in the air, he wasn't targeted while his head was turned toward the fans in the stands, he saw the defensive player coming at him...

And unneccesary roughness? Get the frick out of here with that shite. It's fricking football man.

Did they watch some super secret video evidence because the ball was a good 2-3ft over anyone’s hands. Are they just trying to say shite enough so people will start to believe it? Holy shite.

ETA: I can’t believe SI ran with that “alternative angle” when the broadcast showed the ball 3ft above everyone’s head.

Watch this video at the 45 second mark to see if it was tipped.
