The literally release a statement every other time. They know they fricked uo for all the world to see. All we can hope for now is for real change to happen. Make calls like that reviewable and take it out if these clown’s hands.

Goodell getting the PR campaign in place first.

Nfl realized their exposure is relatively small with only a minor market really caring. I’m sure they’ve orchestrated with their partners in the media to address the issue but hedge in a calculated way because they too have an interest in giving credibility to the rams’ win. In the end the only people bitching and pressing the issue will be callers into 870 or 1045 Espn.
It is what it is.
It is what it is.

With the Pats win, the media will be more distracted by the shiny LA/Tom Brady matchup so the league is trying to just blend in. If they themselves don't bring any more attention to it, maybe it'll just fade away.

Apparently, the powers-that-be are haggling over the language of the statement that would admit the mistake. The haggling will continue into Monday, at a minimum.
If the league hopes to retain any credibility whatsoever, it will acknowledge the mistake ASAP and commit to making changes aimed at preventing such mistakes in the future. As the clock ticks, it will only get harder for the league to clean up a mess that its own substandard procedures for spotting and fixing obvious errors has created.
The NFL is a joke.

"Powers that be arguing over wording"
Meaning the league attorneys are involved and need more time to perfectly craft a non-statement that covers their asses, admits no fault and generally absolves them from any responsibility in the matter.

The more i follow the aftermath of this, the angrier i get. I know its just a game and all, but shite that was corruption at its finest.
Im sick and tired of the saints being victim to the nfl with roger. Frick em

I think these clowns were going to rely on the “ball was tipped” bullshite until they watched the replay and saw the ball was a goo 3-5ft over everyone.

Don't be so sure. ESPN in the form of Berman/Jackson/Key were all over this in a big way. Boomer was losing his mind on CBS' halftime show and even the NFL Network "Prime" people (Deion, Shannon and LT) were dogging the refs. Plus, you had Schefter and Peter King front and center.
This isn't going away quickly.

That was raw reaction. They haven’t had production meetings and briefings yet. Narrative will be a lot different tomorrow.
