One of the more criminally underrated movies on the 20th century.

just introduced my kids to this movie this past Saturday night. I embarrassed my 12 year old by continually asking him if he thought Jennifer Connelly is hot.

This and Dick Tracy made up about 95% of my viewing time back in the late 80s/ early 90s

I like all three of the period piece pulp comic hero flicks that came out in the 90s.

The Rocketeer

The Shadow

The Phantom

I wish they all had done well enough for sequels.

Even as a kid I remember asking my dad why his butt and legs werent burning off from the rocket

He would just tell me "Just enjoy the movie son. Not everything on TV is real"

I was close to that age when I saw it in the theater. Guess it was my first JC movie.

Loved the movie and I'm glad it was made before modern CGI so we didn't have to see the helmet morphing up from his neckline or just appearing out of nowhere. I enjoyed the special effects of that era and watching making-of shows on E! to see how they built the props and models.

I don't know why, but I never cared for The Rocketeer too much back in the day.

I loved The Shadow though.

Never saw The Phantom, so can't comment.

Same guy who directed Rocketeer also directed First Captain America movie. Really owns that 30s/40s piece look.
