I like Lindsay Graham's idea to open the Government for 3 weeks

....since Nancy and Chuck said if POTUS will stop the shutdown they will negotiate in good faith...if they don't come to the table in a solid way in 3 weeks then he can use the emergency option and make them look like the liars they are while Gov't workers get paid. Wins all the way around.

Why....if she is proven to be a liar on "open first and we will negotiate" how is it a win if she does not?

I think this is the best idea. Jeanine laid out the Youngstown case in favor of Trump but they will drag it on and on and scream impeachment and abuse of power.
Trump asked Nancy if they could open govt and in 30 days--- re visit wall funding and she said, NO! They promised him after omnibus they would cont.. funding the wall. They lied. So no more verbal agreements with democrats they are filth.
Simply put the democrats need to negotiate. No one believes the BS polls that it is not their fault. I say continue playing chicken they look like assholes. Even Cher said give him the wall.

She will just say that Trump refused to compromise on the negotiations, same as now. The media will run with it. It would literally be no different than what is happening at the moment.

The Dems want this. They know that any action under the National Emergency option would be immediately stalled in courts. Then what does Trump do? Shut the government back down because the 9th Circuit said he can't use NE to construct the wall? Then he is trapped and has to sit back and wait for the courts while Nancy grandstands on not giving $1 to Trump for the Wall.

I don’t understand why you wouldn’t pass a CR that covers getting the people back to work. Money for the wall will likely be pulled from trade offs between major programs of record, not from sidelining the agencies and departments impacted by the shutdown. Get them back to work and put a moratorium on the programs currently on the table as potential offsets for the wall.
