Also, why do you want to move it? We have the most anemic basketball student section I’ve ever seen

Watching the Ole Miss student section now vs Auburn makes me agree. They are rowdy and loud. The PMAC was a morgue last night.

1. Students were good last night. Not great but good. A good start would be for the kids to just come to every SEC home game.
2. Students used to have sidecourt seats in the PMAC but most of those seats were empty for most games for several years so they got moved.
3. Move the damned press to the 300 section and give those lower seats to the students.

Heck, they only got three students that actually go to the games. So it won’t take much to make this happen!

Putting a third of the student in the baseline 300 sections is so stupid. It completely removes them from the game. Move the media to the 300’s and find somewhere else to seat visiting fans.

Question: If you were a student at LSU, would you go to the game if they never show your section on TV? The kids at Duke gets all the airtime...that’s why it’s such a spectacle! Add in that Duke’s arena is purposefully small to always be pack! In contrast, the camera view of LSU games looks as if they are piping in cheers, because the folks that are on screen look bored out of their minds! No need to have a huge venue if you can’t fill it even after pulling a top 5 recruiting class!

Yall can say what yall want but obviously yall dont go to the games either. Last night the student section was packed in their section, which is probably the worst in the arena, all the way to the roof. Yall complain about the students not being loud but when you are in a single section up to the rafters and not along the sideline like all the blue blood program programs you are comparing our students too what do you expect.

Move the band and the press back. Give the students that whole stretch. No idea why they haven't done that

Hell- move the band to where the press is now. That would get under the skin of the visiting team.

What has the student section done to deserve being put on the sideline?
I agree the way it’s set up currently is rather awful. However, you can’t even get the bottom tier to stand up, so why should alleva give up thousands and thousands of dollars in revenue for students that show up to half the games, and when they do, they’re apathetic towards the game.
Students should drive the atmosphere. They should not sit around and wait for the team to “earn it”, that’s not his student sections should work

Wrong question. What can we do to improve the student section is the question. If moving it improves attendance and intensity, move it.
