Not as much beach as you may think...
plenty of bars. Rent a scooter and cruise around town

If your budget can take it, get a 5:15 dinner reservation at Latitude's on Sunset Key.

Bicycling around town can be fun.
The cemetery is an interesting spot, with some quirky inscriptions and the remains of those killed in the explosion of the USS Maine (which triggered the Spanish American War, thanks to some seriously yellow journalism).

There isn’t much to do or see off of Duval St. I would be careful taking a scooter or a bike around as lots of people have been getting killed on both in recent months. Too much traffic and too much going on, it’s best to walk or Uber.
It’s been warm so chartering a boat out to the sandbars is great day time stuff.
Louie’s Backyard is prolly the nicest upscale restaurant in town. Michael’s has fallen on very hard times and Lattitudes is quaint as it lends itself to the imagination and it’s a pretty setting. Everything served at the restaurant comes out of Sysco bag, but they do plate it well. I like Hot Tin Roof quite a bit, and I like that hotel.

We couldn't get a reservation at Latitudes. We ended up getting a reservation on the patio at Hot Tin Roof just before sunset. The views were phenomenal, service top notch and the food was delicious. I highly recommend getting a reservation here.
We also enjoyed a great happy hour (drinks & seafood appetizers) at a restaurant at the docks. I can't remember the name but if you're interested, I'll look up the restaurant's name.
Loved the Mel Fisher museum and a sunset cruise on a boat. We rented bikes and left the minivan parked. Taxis are easy to come by and are a good option if you're hotel isn't close to the nightlife. Great drinks and live music on Duval.
Looking forward to returning so we can go to Dry Tortugas for the day and all of the other things we missed.

Mallory Square after sunset becomes a free entertainment zone with lots of interesting acts. Enjoy!

Because he place amount of seating is 100% weather dependent they only open the books about 30% to online. They’ll take a few more via phone, but that day (depending on weather) they’ll open the books a bit more still holding some tables for last minute hotel guests or island residents (if a few are known to be around). They also keep 3 tables off the books for the family who owns the island.
There’s always a table open there if you ask at the right moment. Again it’s a nice boat ride and view, food wise it’s nothing special.

Duvall St = Bourbon St with less piss & vomit but more gay like once you cross over St Ann.
This would def. be my description. Only been twice, but it is much cleaner and no 'youth' hanging on every corner and lamp post.

Can you dive the reef during the winter months? I've only been in the summer but that was a fantastic day out there.

Green Parrot
The brunch spot is Blue Heaven, not Parrot.
Gotta get a cuban for lunch at the counter at Ana's Cuban Cafe.
Hit some of the happy hours on the Mallory Square end in the afternoon. Alonzo's has a good one for oysters and 2 for 1 drinks.
Rent a bike for sure. Easy to cruise all over.
