Tickets is Albert Adria's molecular gastronomy Tapas Bar, his first restaurant he opened after he and his brother, Ferran Adria, closed maybe the most important restaurant in the world El Bulli.

Reservations are pretty hard to get. You have to get online exactly 60 days in advance at midnight Barcelona time. Its not Osteria Francescana hard to get into, but still pretty hard. Reservations were gone for the day I picked 7 minutes past the hour.

I'm really excited. Its the only reservations for Spain I have so far.

You can check out Albert Adria featured in an episode of Chef's Table, and a few travel shows go to Tickets.

Here are some pictures of some of the tapas:

Looks incredible. When I make it to Europe I want to do S. France and N. Spain (Catelonia)

I plan on also going to Quimet y Quimet in Barcelona that doesn't take reservations, and Bar Canete which doesn't take reservations after 7 I think.

In Madrid I want to go to StreetXO which also doesn't take reservations.

I think you just overpaid for some shite that is no better than a miller lite and meatball stew / gumbo.

The gas station where you eat will get its first Michelin Star soon I bet.

I was in Barcelona over the summer. Besides what's already mentioned, I'd recommend:

Bar Brutal/Can Cisa
Restaurant Martinez (Amazing view and imo best paella)
Restaurant Estimar
El Xampanyet (Next to La Puntal)
Bodega La Puntal (Great lunch and best bravas I had in Barca)
ElDiset
Paradiso cocktail bar (Incredibly cool place. Go early to avoid the line.)

Spain is an amazing place

Quimet y Quimet is awesome. Also put Tapas 24 on your list. And if you want to blow it out take the train about an hour north of Barcelona to a little village called San Pau. Go to Carme Ruscalleda’s st. Pau. Go for lunch. It’s 3 stars and ranks as my best 3 star experience.

Barcelona is a fantastic eating city. There is a little spot I love called Mosquito. It’s a beer focused dim sum place. If you need a break from Jamon it’s worth a visit.

I was actually searching last night for a post I thought you made on Barcelona awhile back but I couldn’t find it

You should give a full Barcelona rundown, at your convenience of course

It’s all still up there but re-pointed back to original blogspot domain. Article on Saint Pau is here. LINK

Click on the Spain tab (or could be Barcelona). Those articles almost a decade old, but was in Barcelona May 17 and sentiment still holds: it’s the best eating and drinking city in Europe.

I like good restaurants but I mean come on , 3/4 of the world doesn't even eat a single meal a day. I'm no bleeding heart but where do these cocksuckers that spend more time decorating their fish than cooking it eat ? Nowhere can possibly be enjoyable

El Xampanyet, Paradiso, Bar Brutal, and Mosquito are all on my radar.

Having a hard time finding places open on Sunday dinner. Like a really hard time.

Unfortunately only have 3 nights in Barcelona. My wife really really wanted to go to Seville so we will be spending more time there.

Once you reach a certain level of restaurant, a large part of it is the artistry that the chefs display, their creativity and inventiveness, and a lot more. It's meant to be an entire experience, not just going out to dinner.

If that's not your thing, no problem at all. No one's forcing you to enjoy it. But there's no need to come in here and act like a douche canoe when someone is excited about getting the opportunity to have an incredible dining experience.

Kind of why I considered posting on the Travel Board instead. Lots less of the “if it isn’t a truck stop lunch counter then it’s garbage” crowd.
