So does Greedy.

And he is absolutely doing the right thing for what is and should be most important in his life. He signs this first round contract and that kid will never want for anything.

And you wonder why every year the #1 excuse from LSU fans are "we are just so young".

Players going early into the draft is a huge recruiting boon. A lot of these 4* and 5* guys that can make an immediate impact, like the idea of the possibility of stepping straight in to fill the shoes of a guy like Greedy or Devin.

Guys who grade as late draft picks though... I've always held a stance that they should return and develop. But each to their own.

Perfect answer. Good job!!!

I just don't understand why it seems as if LSU always loses these late round projection picks. The Godeaux,Weatherby, Tolliver's, etc sure would be nice to have. I just gave examples but these were good players that maybe if they stayed they make alot better money. I don't hate them for leaving I just don't understand why they leave.

I'm happy for whatever decision LSU players decide to make for their careers. If they're happy with it why shouldn't I be?

These young men are fulfilling their dreams and I'm supposed to be upset about it?

Agreed. Today’s college football is about me me me. The players (a majority at least) don’t give a shite about anything but themselves. I remember when players like Bo Jackson, Dalton Hilliard, Eric Hill, Wendell Davis, Tim Brown, Payton Manning, and Kevin Faulk were playing for the love for the game...all with nice paychecks waiting in Professional sports. Now, college football as a whole is a shadow of what it used to be. It’s no longer as fun or “pure”.

For most of these players, the signing bonuses for first and second round players were nothing compared to what they are today. And Peyton wasn’t hurting for money by any means. He could have never played a single down of NFL football and still been wealthy as frick.

No player owes any of us anything... they owe it to their team mates.

Can you link me to a fan that is "giddy" about it?

Crickets. It's a ridiculous assertion, but coming from the OP it's not surprising.

about these “fans” on here damn near giddy about them departing from team.
That’s what I have issue with.

nobody is happy he’s leaving dumb frick. Some just understand it’s Greedys decision to make and understand he’s doing what’s best for himself. Link all these happy fans celebrating greedy leaving?

It means the guy missed my entire point.

Not sure what else it could mean.
The thread title was pretty clear that thought.

What point did I miss? You've been bitching for weeks about Greedy leaving and the possibility of White leaving. Then you continually get in pissing matchs with other posters who have decided to not shame players over a tough personal decision. Your OP is nothing more than an extension of those two things. There is a reason the majority of people in this thread disagree with you. But by all means continue your melt.

No I haven’t.

I’m not shaming anyone, I just think as LSU fans we should care about LSU team moreso than a player.

Please, do me and the board a favor and try not making this about something it’s not.

I’m sorry you can’t fricking read.. the title and first sentence says it all.
Majority? Seems pretty even to me.

And if you don’t agree with this
quote:

The best players available playing obv gives LSU best chance wn games and that’s all we should care about

I don’t know what to tell you.
You people act like these players are your fricking kin folks

The very first sentence of the OP is...
quote:

You people are the worst.

You are attemoting to shame the imaginary people that are happy that Greedy is leaving early.

It’s obvious you have a hard on for he OP.

But you’re being disengonous if you haven’t seen people here take the pro GTFO of here approach to greedy Williams and Devin past month.
I can’t speak for him, but it appears to me he’s saying LSU is stronger with those guys than without them so why as fans shouldn’t we want that.
That’s how I interpreted it anyways and I absolutely agree with that as so many others it appears by the upvotes.

But in typical TD fashion y’all get into these 3rd grade pissing my dick is bigger than yours matches.

If LSU can't win a bowl game against Central GD Florida because a cornerback is turning pro and skipping the game, then we aren't that good, and that should be the conversation.

And that's all this is about.

That's all these players sitting out/leaving early threads are always about.

If Player X decides to not play then LSU might not win Y game.

Which is pretty sad. We are LSU. Go win the game. Next man up.

We aren't happy Greedy or anyone else is leaving, we just aren't little girls who are going to whine about it if a kid has a chance to go make some money, since.....wait for it, we should still be better than UCF anyway.
