Air Force: Nothing improper with Airmen's Pro-Trump merchandise at Ramstein

I have raised this issue in some of the other threads and received no verifiable answer.
The POTUS visit was kept under wraps for safety reasons. Makes sense. One poster who was PRESENT said that he was unaware that the POTUS was coming until the moment he was ordered to report to the hangar.
Where are all these caps coming from? Do these service members all just keep a red gimme cap in one of the pockets of their uniforms? In a tool locker in the hangar?
Yes, I suspect that the Trump team brought a box of campaign hats and handed them out, but I would readily change that view if someone can give some verifiable info to the contrary.

You understand that they live there, right?
It’s really not outside the realm of possibility that they own them as personal items, and simply grabbed them when they were told what was happening.

Do some of these guys own MAGA hats? Sure. But this visit was kept pretty dark, as I understand it. Our poster who was present said that they were not even told initially why they were reporting to the hangar.
Once they got there and were told, I doubt they were cut loose to go back home (or to barracks) to snag their gimme caps. It would rather defeat the whole security setup.

There's nothing to retract. Trump bringing campaign merchandise to hand to troops was literally the only question raised. It appears for now at least that that isn't what took place.

I am curious about the source of the caps. If that constitutes “bent out of shape” to you ... that would make you a bit sensitive, but OK.
