Can Trump fund the wall through USDA

Anything he tries will be challenged in court. It will be interesting to see which route they go.

Donald Trump can fund the border wall without congressional approval

The Department of Agriculture has about $200 billion in outstanding loansfor rural development projects such as community buildings, bridges, roads, fire stations, police stations, water projects and barriers such as fencing and walls. These federal loans to local communities have low default rates that are attractive to private-sector investors because they represent large, reliable cash flows — the kind of investments that big money funds desperately desire.

For example, Trump could authorize the sale of $10 billion of USDA rural water loans on the secondary market, which could bring in a lump sum payment of $12 billion or more. Revenue from these proceeds could be directed to build the border wall.
Legal authority comes from many angles. Obama stimulus loans (approximately $2-$5 billion) could be separated out and used because they involved “no year” money, meaning the funds don’t expire if not spent in a certain time frame.

I definitely approve. But not yet. Have it ready, but hopefully not needed.
I want the shutdown to continue until which point negative Nancy and Cryin Chuck absolutely break. I don't want them to bend the knee... I want them absolutely broken, shamed and publicly humiliated for the irrational cowards they are.

I would love to get liberals fund it while Trump literally gives them a case of the red arse.
But in all seriousness. I don't care where they get the money. Never did.

frick all the gymnastics.
Fund it from the $750B the Pentagon got. There is absolutely no issue of greater value to our national security than a secure border.
No matter what Wolfe Blitzer wants us to believe.

Quick side point: It is pretty impressive how effectively the government has brainwashed the public into believing that this number is necessary. In terms of currency spent, the MIC in the United States may be the largest racket/perpetuation of fraud in human history.

Is this Mexican money?
No. But we could build it and call it a "toll wall" and anything passing through it would have to pay the toll.

Then throw the "Commerce Clause" at it - you can get anything past the SCOTUS with "interstate commerce" argument.
no-brainer

This - I want the entire government shut down - I want congress to not get paid - I want every bill the congress tries to pass vetoed until the wall = OR ITs EQUIVALENT PHYSICAL BARRIER = is FULLY FUNDED with the money stashed in a secure account usable for NOTHING BUT CONSTRUCTION OF A PHYSICAL BARRIER.
Declare a national emergency.

I wish this would happen as well, but the current climate doesn’t favor it. Something needs to change to create urgency, and specifically in Trumps favor.
Otherwise I think it’s likely Trump gives up some ground and tries to get whatever he can out of the Dems and calls that a win. Unfortunately

Not all of it. Not sure about Rural Development, which has the funding referenced.

I can't understand this mindset. Trump's own words have convicted him, he proclaimed "we will build a great wall, and Mexico will pay for it" across the land at campaign stops in 2016, and it's nothing but a boldface lie!
It's worse than "read my lips, no new taxes" or "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor". Yet Trumpkins still take his word as gospel.
