When are we going to start bringing in some DEs and OTs?

It's really sweet that we seem to be bringing in lots of really great DBS, but at this rate, we'll have to start converting them to pass rushers and pass blockers. And quarterbacks while we're at it. Without pass rush, even the best cover guys get lit up. Really troublesome trend. I don't mean to be putting a wet blanket on a great day all the way around, but every time I hear about another DB coming on board when we need other (more critical) positions, it is worrisome and I know I'm preaching to the choir, but something needs to be done.

Christ. Not this again

Only our fan base can find a reason to still gripe when a top 10 overall player commits to us

Why can’t you enjoy some good news? Please spend more time with your family. In case you haven’t looked for shite, in 2020 we are projected to land a multitude of talent on both lines of scrimmage.

someone should bring this to the attention of the coaches. I bet they have no idea we need DEs and OTs.

We have 2 OT's signed in this class, Bradford and Perry, with one more committed in Parker. Also already have a commitment from one in the 2020 class. We are stacking up pretty good on OL's in this class, with also Kardell Thomas and Charles Turner as well. We may come up a little short on DL this class but looking good for 2020. As far as pass rushers in particular, it probably isn't a priority in this class as we already have quite a few on the roster with Chaisson due to return, in addition we have Divinity, who is starting to come around and also Jerryl Cherry, Travez Moore, and Andre Anthony. Dantreize Scott as well.
It is still way early for the 2020 class, but no doubt we go after a couple in that class.

Never. We don’t recruit lineman. Now stop paying attention you miserable dick.
Completely ignore the fact that CamRon Jackson just committed.

WTF dude? How many do you want to take? We have one in this class and 2 committed to 2020 already

We seem to be in the hunt for 5 of the top 25 2020 DLmen.
Same goes for OL.
Not sure what’s left if we don’t land Sospher other than signing a few Juco guys for 2019.

Assholes just gotta be assholes

I agree 100 percent. We need to fill our offensive and defensive line with 4/5 star monsters two and three deep on the depth chart. Our weaknesses in the big games has been our inability to control the line of scrimmage on both sides!

Never bruh... they're bypassing those 2 positions from now on. Weird.. right??

3-4 Defense...OLBs are your main edge rushers.

I follow recruiting fairly closely. The only "high" probability recruits are the ones from Louisiana. I, personally, have not seen many highly recruited SDE or WDE from LA in recent years. I wish we could grow some LB and DE and fewer WR
We have not been overwhelmed with OT either. The last highly rated OT in state were Tillery in 2015 and Robinson in 2014. Tillery is on DL for Notre Dame now.
Mississippi had a good load of DE this year (five 4* DE), but LSU seems to have trouble pulling high value recruits from Mississippi unless they were from the gulf Coast region. MS had one 4* OT as well.
For Louisiana:
In 2020, No DE listed . No OT listed
In 2019, no DE in the top 25. We have commits from both OT listed in the top 25.
in 2018, there were no DE in the top 25. We signed the only OT listed (Wire). Rosenthal would have been a 5* had he been willing to sign as an OT. We signed him as a DT and he has moved to OT now. Traore was a 4* JUCO OT.
in 2017, there were three 3* DE in the top 25. We signed Moffitt (SDE 3*, #33). We lost the only 4* OT to OU (Adrian Ealy). Deculus was a high 4* OT from Texas, but we missed on Ealy.
