I gave my SIL’s two boys (12 and 14) each a card with a $50 bill and the youngest one didn’t think it was real. I told him to give it to his brother if he didn’t believe me. He had to google it!

That boggles my mind. Do we just not use $50s anymore as a society?

Got some money out of an ATM a few weeks ago and it gave me 50's. First time I'd handled 50s in a while

Most people don't use 50's. For lower purchases they'll just use 20's, and for higher they'll just carry 100's.

$50 has always been in a weird spot.

My dad goes to the bank and gets $50s every year. That is everyone's gift from him.

I actually carry $50 as walking around money. Makes it easier to carry $500-$1000 but without having th awkward use of $100 bills. I find most of my cash purchases are over $20 but under $50.

No, it just means that not a lot of 12 year olds are using 50s.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a $50 and I’m 40.

Yeah, 50's are pretty unusual. See either 20's or 100's. Also people don't deal with cash much at all anymore.
