An 18 year old possessing a handgun that he legally purchased from a private individual (and the gun wasnt previously reported stolen, didnt have an obliterated serial number, etc.) will not face any legal ramifications at the state or federal level, assuming he had no other reason prohibiting him from possessing a firearm (previous enumerated felony conviction/possessing a CDS while possessing the gun/ etc.)

I admittedly am not an expert on the law but why does anyone ever get charged with possession of a stolen firearm then? I bought it on Craigslist and didn't know it was stolen. How could I? End of story?

Why are his players putting themselves in this position? Dont act like it is completely unrelated to football. This was a bowl gift, correct?

I honestly don't know your point. Can you explain?

He had a gun pointed at him that looked real and he feared for his life. Clyde did nothing wrong out of self defense. Hopefully this will give second thoughts to other people who plan on robbing somebody. This is not a game and thank God for the second amendment.

What if he was selling his old one because he just got a new one as a gift? You are speculating and hating on a player who at this point looks like he did nothing wrong

Um, because they are possessing a stolen firearm and the evidence suggests that they knew or should have known it was stolen.

Would barely be news worthy if it weren’t for who was involved. Supposedly robberies through CL transactions are pretty common.

They’re pretty common unfortunately. No just in urban areas but rural and suburban areas as well.

I want to feel sorry for you because of your depression issues. Do you also suffer from borderline personality? Just trying to get an idea of how messed up you really are.

Really wish this thread hadn’t turned into a stupid argument about the crime rate in Baton Rouge. Can y’all please move that somewhere else. Thanks

Just another reason to bring back NCAA Football. People wouldn't be selling their Playstations.

Other thread has a first responder saying Clyde popped him with hollow points one to chest and one to head.

Is it wrong that I feel proud of him for placement under duress?

Definitely a cop's kid.

So what's the basis for even speculating that it was drug related, besides to attempt to start shite on a message board?

Because he is a shitty poster.

So if someone is pointing a gun at you (or as in this case) your friend, are you going to take the chance to see if he’ll just take the stuff and leave or if he’s going to shoot you?

If their gun is already drawn, I'm gonna let them feel invincible with their 300 dollar ps4 in a simple robbery situation. Then again, I would have met them in a very public place... no reason not to if it's not something shady going on right?
