What is your base for an AD trade?

Considering AD turns down the supermax and requests a trade, what would be your bottom line in a trade and still remain competitive, and possibly even better?
I will assume we will end up working something out for Beal or someone equal to him. Also assuming we re-sign Randle/Niko and Payton.
I also will assume 4 teams will be heavily bidding for him, and possibly have a dark horse come out of nowhere throwing their hat into the ring, which having so many teams bidding against each other will assure we will get the best possible package.
Boston:
We send AD, we recieve Rozier (S&T), Tatum, and Baynes
76ers:
AD to Philly Chandler, Reddick (s&t) and Simmons to NOLA.
Knicks:
Send AD, recieve KP, Ntilikina, 2019 1st
Lakers:
Send AD, recieve Ball, Ingram, Kuzma
Someone like Portland may come out of left field and throw their hat in also and offer up a player on Lilliards level.
Either way this shakes out, we have the possibility of having a good/great squad with or without AD.

Yeah I'm fine with like all of these. It obvious that we can't build around AD. We've had enough time to do so. Time to trade in.

Salaries won't work unless Rozier is making near $12M-$15M on a new deal. Would work with Smart though.

We could actually make out like bandits here since Philly has cap space that we could use in a S&T if we could convince someone like Kemba or Klay to sign with us. Send AD to Philly, recieve S&T guy (I would love Klay) and Simmons
Don't really understand this one. Philly can't just sign a guy then trade him to us. And no one is signing here in the summer if we're trading AD. Simmons would be one of the top assets though.

Add in Knox and it would be near the top of my list.

Would rather Hart over Ball.

Portland
If they're trading for AD it means they want to contend for a title. In which case they're not trading Lillard. Would probably trade McCollum, but is that really better than what else you can get? Nah.

Lol Ball's ceiling is huge. He just hit 5/9 threes today and is already one of the leagues best defenders. He's also 20 years oldd
Hart is good at what he does but you take Ball every time

And at only 20 years old, he is already one of the best facilitators in the NBA.
I dont see how anyone would rather Hart over Ball.

I honestly think we could get all four if we wanted. Celtics will offer most to all their picks they’ll need to beat it.

Roziers new deal would have to be around 9.5 million, which I believe he is worth more than that, so salaries wouldnt be an issue.
Adding Knox to the Knicks deal would be asking for too much unless their pick is outside the top 5.
Hart will not be anywhere near Ball's level.

Would take Ball/Hart/Kuzma/salary filler and 2 1sts from Lakers. Or would take Tatum/Smart/Morris with the Philly/Sac pick and Clippers pick.
Trade with Lakers starting 5
PG: Ball
SG: Jrue
SF: Hart/Moore
Big: Niko
Big: Randle
Bench: Hart/Moore, Kuzma, etc.
Trade with Celtics starting 5:
PG: Smart
SG: Jrue
SF: Tatum

The thing to remember with any trade with Boston is that we wont be recieving any 2019 picks, as the trade wouldnt be able to be done until after Kyrie signs a new deal which would be after the draft.

quote:I disagree. Given more time we'll eventually find the right combination as long as we keep the AD / Jrue combo. We almost had it last year with Boogie before the freak injury. I think we would of really come together in the playoffs and been a force last year with Boogie.
It obvious that we can't build around AD

By NBA rules they could use that cap space to sign a guy then immediately trade him.
Did something change in the CBA? From what I always understood you can't trade someone you sign in the summer until December 15th. The only S&Ts allowed are with the player's current team.

Not necessarily. I think as long as the rook doesn't sign his new deal he can still be traded in the summer a la Wiggins. If they had the framework of a deal in place, Dell could always make "suggestions" on who to take with the Sacramento pick they own.

Ahhhh, I misread on another page, it would have to be that teams free agent.

Nothing. Ride it until the wheels fall off. The value for a player like AD isn’t fluid. If he wants out he can let the front office know but I certainly wouldn’t be in a hurry to move him for anything less than what we deserve in return. At this point, he hasn’t let anything be known that we know of so don’t let yourself fall mercy to the clickbait-mongers

We will know by the time FA comes around if he will be here long term or not. If he declines the Supermax we know he is not staying. You dont hold on to him at that point and then lose him for nothing, that would pretty much assure this franchise is gone.

I think we could easily be one of the better destinations for AD both monetarily and competitively. Not the best but one of the better ones if you consider all the factors.
I don’t know if Tatum and Simmons are untouchable or not, but I’m swinging a deal for either of those if feasible. Though I’m high on balls future, I’m not sure how much Lavar would be ok with his son playing in New Orleans. If that isn’t factor and they aren’t going to bitch there way out the second he gets traded, Ball/Kuzma is a very good start. Would be Lonzo’s show in New Orleans too.
We’d really need Boston probably to jump in and throw Tatum in the mix if we wanted any shot of LAL dumping assets. They rightfully should be worried about an AD to Boston deal. You’d also keep AD out East. I don’t want Kristaps. He’s an amazing talent, but I just have this bad feeling there’s a good chance that height and frame will deal with injuries his entire career.
ETA: since most people are posting their desires, if AD wants out definitively, my absolute baseline for an AD deal would be Jaylen Brown or Jamal Murray type/multiple picks. Maybe you could convince a Denver to give you a package centered around Jamal Murray plus other assets. I’d want at least one player I could see thriving in a high usage role and developing into a superstar with other depth around him. Those returns would absolutely suck for a player like AD, but it’s better than losing him for nothing and watching him walk.

We lost the opportunity to build around AD when we went into a win now mentality and basically started pissing away salary cap and draft picks.

If I were AD and had a choice, Philly would be a prime destination.
They have Butler, so he wouldnt need to try to be a leader/alpha.
They have Embiid, which pretty much ensures he would never have to play Center again.
They have Fultz who could be a great facilitator for them.
Also a big 3 of Butler, AD and Embiid pretty much ensures they will be in the ECF every year and have a great chance of winning it all.

I would fricking hate a Derozan type return like SAS got. I’d hope AD is worth much more than that though.
