I can't speak for the expensive ones you mentioned but I hunt with several people that have worn banded waders and they usually have to get a new pair every year from having tears and leaks. One guy had a pair that the sole came off the boot while we were hunting one day. To me, that's unacceptable on a $250+ pair of waders in their first season.
Me personally I've had a few lacrosse waders from macks pw, a pair of itascas, and a several cabelas pair. My favorite are the cabelas by far. The boots in the itascas were supposedly 1600 grams but my feet like to have froze last year on a couple hunts.
When I was in college I had a pair of cabelas ultimate hunting waders and I tore a hole in the upper portion of the boot one morning walking through some button woods and snagged it on a sharp broken branch. I boxed them up and shipped them back to cabelas after filling out the repair form and in less than 2 weeks they sent me a brand new pair for free. Between that service and how comfortable they are I'll always buy cabelas.

The best pair of waders I've ever bought were the Cabela's branded Instinct uninsulated waders. Sadly they don't make them anymore. I'm going on season #4 with them and haven't had any issues. I prefer the non-insulated because you can layer underneath if needed, but also very light and don't wear you out making long walks on public land.

Anyone who pays that much for waders is an idiot. My $80 Magellan's from Academy work just fine and keep me warm.

Only thing about Cabelas is that it’s now owned by Bass Pro. Not sure what changes that’ll bring.

Just purchased Rogers non insulated waders for $199 and love them so far. Hand Banded insulated and after 10 hunts the seams around the boot slightly leaked to where your pants were damp. Used them for two years and they finally leaked bad enough to toss em. My buddy has the same problem, will never buy banded waders again. Will also never buy neoprene waders again, do too much walking. The breathable waders are the ticket for a lot of walking.

Had a pair of cabelas waders that lasted 12 years. I wore the shite outta those. Getting the exactly same pair this year. $220.00. No reason to change.
