Kind of a dumb thing to get fired over, or fire someone for.
Sounds like he was the frickin man and some dumb cunt didn’t get the D, so he got fired.

Come game time, the boosters were on the sidelines. People asked the administration about it and they called the Coach in on it. He basically said “I went ahead and got them passes.”
That’s not what the article said.
It said he withdrew the passes and the boosters got their passes through another venue.

He applied for a bunch of on field passes for program boosters, people that were giving money to him, for the championship game in the Dome. His bosses told him they didn’t want people on the field just because they gave money to the program. They ordered him to withdraw the pass applications.

Whether you think the boosters should be on the field or not, when the boss says not to do something and you do it anyway... well... you get fricking fired.
And some much bigger school with a much bigger bank roll will have no problem giving him as many field passes as he wants to take over their football program.

Yep. Like a 2 or 3 A school.

I heard it’s over a little more than just field passes. I’ve got family in that area who I’m using as my Chick-fil-a sauces

Don't know anything about the guy, but it reads like he thought he could just do what he wanted without consequence.
That said, the high school i went to sucks at football, and he should go coach there.

Still much bigger than Ascension Catholic. Real question: How has that school even survived?

No wonder I kept losing my Ascension Catholic bets on 5dimes.

that's point shaving and illegal
only if there’s gambling money involved, right?
i mean you can intentionally not run up the score, correct?
i realize you typically would want a lead bigger than two scores before calling off the dogs.

Its the only private school around. You don't think the white kids in that area are going to Donaldsonville public schools do you?

Trosclair said he was called into the school office Wednesday after Mass, was told he was being let go and wasn’t allowed to address his team of 35 players before he left.
Are 1A teams really that small?

Considering my grandparents live about a mile from the school, I don't think there are high school aged white kids in the area.

And what few folks you have in White Castle that are in the market for private schools either go to ACHS or St. John in Plaquemine.
And I'm sure ACHS gets folks from down the Bayou and whatnot as well.

People do illegally bet on HS games. If you "know" a good team will not beat another team by more than 14, you can make money.

Yes. 35 kids on a 1A school football team is about normal

That’s crazy not having a full two deep.
