Starbucks Corp. SBUX +0.88% plans to expand coffee delivery across the U.S. with UberEats as part of a broader strategy to try to reach more customers.
The coffee chain, which has been facing slowing traffic to its domestic coffee shops, on Thursday outlined its growth plans for investors gathered in New York.

Starbucks began testing delivery in Miami with UberEats in September and will begin offering it in nearly a quarter of its more than 8,000 U.S. company-operated stores early next year
You're an idiot if you pay extra to get an overpriced cup of coffee delivered

Can you say buzzwords.

Most of the people to utilize that service are going to be the whales who order the caramel donut chocolate sprinkle frappuccino with whip.
Aint nobody gonna pay $4 and a delivery charge for water run through some very roasted beans.
Maybe it'll thin the lines of the hippos drinking child coffee.

I don't either. If you have the money to pay 15 for a cup of coffee that should cost you 30 cents if made at home or 40 cents if made in a Keurig, go ahead. Doesn't bother me. I mean, yeah, I'll judge you for being stupid, but it doesn't bother me personally.

It would be much cheaper to purchase a $19.99 coffee pot...

We have a commercial Flavia coffee machine at work and it was broken last week. Everyone in my department was freaking out. I used the Uber Eats app and had McDonald's coffee(really good coffee btw... Prefer it to bitter Starbucks) delivered for everyone for the regular price of coffee plus a $2.00 delivery charge. So $2.00 to have 10 large coffees delivered. Took about 10 minutes too. First time using Uber Eats but won't be my last

I would guess there is going to be a minimum order..this sounds like Starbucks may be targeting large offices, ie large orders.

jokes on them... no starbucks for 30 miles and absolutely no uber service in my area.

Uber Eats doesn't really have a min order and that's who they'd be using.

I can’t tell you how many times my wife will make me take her and I want a cup of regular coffee.. I’m always told it will take 5 minutes or so to brew it, how in the hell does a coffee house not have regular coffee?

right, but you really think Uber Eats would agree to deliver just one Medium Dark Roast? No one in their right mind would pay $12 for that..but if they do, to each his own
