Seem to be about 10-14 days away in Adams, Amite and Wilkinson Counties from what I am seeing. Weather is a mess lately. Cold and then hot, not to mention rain. I suspect it will be on in the first week to 10 days of January, as usual in this area. Do not pretend to be an expert, though.

I’m hoping they are up stirring tomorrow after the wind and rain all day today.

I’m leaving Thibodaux in an hour to head up to Liberty. Need to fill up a feeder before the afternoon hunt.

Showing heavy rain all day here north of Liberty. My ponds need it.

Just north of Liberty MS today my buddy shot a nice 3-4 year old 8 point. Neck was way swollen, glands were black and dripping, and head was all mudded up.

I dropped an 8 point this morning. Lots of chasing. It's here.

Hunted at the lease in Fayette yesterday and today. Not much moving. Definitely no chasing.

Hunting with client in Doloroso. Bucks on the search, but no chasing

Its on in Claiborne County. Killed my biggest on the 26th running through the woods with his nose to the ground. Neighbors have killed a few nice ones the last few days as well.

Hunted near Fayette yesterday. Hardly a deer being seen. I did see a nice 8 chasing a doe but hard. Still seems to be early. Maybe a hot doe here and there but not much movement at all.

Saw some smaller bucks chasing but the bigger deer haven’t been seen chasing yet. Doesn’t mean they’re not just that this weather we have been having isn’t ideal for them for being seen during the day. Just my opinion...

Any updates on the chasing activity lately?
I haven't been out hunting in over a week now.

Southwest MS, 15 miles east of McComb, killed a young 8 point Saturday right on a Doe's arse, scrape activity has picked up, I would say it is on

We’ve definitely seen it around Fayette. Solid rut activity for about a week now.
