That seems low. I was expecting at least $3500. That thing can't be easy to fly either.

Read the comments on the video , the builder won’t say the price for fear his wife would find out, conservative estimate of 8K.

That's still low. You are talking about somewhere around the $30-50k mark to get something like that flying. Probably about $15k for the two turbines alone. You want two or three separate radio systems for redundancy and that adds up.

I think they're more like $30k. It's mini jet engines. Those can't be cheap.

I wonder how many UFO reports that thing has generated.

Have a BIL that’s into RC planes. That plane is from a competition called Top Gun. All the planes are scratch built. $30k is a reasonable estimate. The amount of time spent building one of those is unreal.

There’s a british version of the competition worth searching on YouTube. Those guys tend to make more WW2 stuff.

Edit for link to WW2 planes

Thanks I'll give it a look. I got caught up looking at the other videos from that same YouTube channel. These plane are pretty incredible. I liked this T38 Talon.

The copilot in the back looked like he was hungover or rubbing one out the first time they showed him.

Maybe both.

Yeah. The Brits let them do that. It’s illegal in the US to equip a remote control plane with explosives for obvious reasons.

Here, they do dogfights with ribbons. You hook a ribbon to the tail of your plane and the other guy tries to fly by and clip it off.
